Are the holidays to rest?
Many people make the mistake of relaxing during holiday periods, like Christmas, Easter and
Summer. This is what seperates the top income earners from everyone else.
What can you do to accelerate your network marketing business during the Holiday season
when most people are just chillin and having a good time?
There are a number of strategies you can use, that will cause you to have massive growth.
1. Product exposé’s.
Around these periods people are more receptive to looking at new things because of the
atmosphere of the holiday period. So you can capitalise on this to expose your product or
service to more people.
Use the exposé’ as an opportunity to invite new people to your local meeting if you have
2. Holiday audio cards.
Send out with your Christmas cards a CD you recorded especially for that person, and wish
them happy holidays. Then tell them you would love to chat with them at the start of the
year because you want to give them the gift of success.
This is a great way of planting a seed in someone's mind to start getting them to think
outside of the box and introduce the concept of Home Based Businesses to them.
3. Re-contact old customers.
You can use this as an opportunity to send out thank you cards to people who have ordered
from you in the past but maybe you have not spoken to them in a while.
Have small gifts for them, and let them know how much you appreciate their business. Then
ask them for referrals for the coming year. The new year is normally the time when people
are willing to try something new with the possibility of having a good year to come.
4. Holiday upline open house.
If you have built an organisation, you could either open your house or someone whose house
is a decent size and invite your team around for a social, getting everyone to bring a
guest to the event.
This could be a party to celebrate the successes of the past year. Have material there to
let people know why you are celebrating. This is an indirect way of exposing the business
to new people. It needs to be a fun social with music and games, each person can then
connect with their guest and arrange to follow up in January.
5. Neighborhood holiday mailer.
You can use the holiday period as an excuse to get to know your neighbours. Send them a
Christmas card introducing yourself as their neighborhood rep, and wish them a Merry
Christmas and Happy new year.
Then follow up in January and see if they had a good Christmas and start the process of
getting to know them. In doing this you will eventually uncover a need and you will be able
to position your product or service to help fulfill that need. If you always remember to
be interested in them and not just interesting in what you have, then you will be able to
develop strong relationships which will lead to buying customers.
6. Visit community holiday functions.
The thing is to connect, connect and connect.
You need to connect to new prospects during the holidays and community functions are a
great way to do this. Get out and become a "networking machine."
Network and meet people and make new friends and give away something to them as a holiday
gift. Make sure every person you talk to has a gift and your card. And that you have some
form of contact info as well. Check your Sunday newspaper for where these events are.
7. The holiday success card.
Send people you know, and also prospects a seasonal card, and include within it an article
about success, goal setting, leadership, time management, or any other success oriented
topic. This will set you apart from the rest.
If you work your business during the holidays, you will be surprised at what might happen
to your business as a result. Alternatively you can do what 95% of the people who fail do
and that is to do nothing in the holidays and convince yourself by your own excuses that
people are not going to want to be doing anything during this time.
Impossible is it?
At some point in a persons life people dream of achieving something great, being remembered, you know being somebody special. If you are honest with yourself, you have probably dreamed of being a Holly Wood star and a famous music artist, or may be a successfully rich business man/woman.Or maybe your dreams have been centered around having a loving family, going out and helping people on missions or being able to save lives in some capacity.
Often, we dream big dreams and have great aspirations. Unfortunately, our dreams remain just that – dreams. And our aspirations easily collect dust in our attic.
This is so sad to see because instead of experiencing exciting adventures maximising our life experience, we get caught up in the mundane activities of living from day-to-day just barely existing.
Does life have to be like? Life could be so much better, if only we learned to aim higher.
The most common problem to setting goals is the word impossible. Most people get hung up thinking I can't do this. It's too hard. It's too impossible. No one can do this.
You imagine if everyone thought like that, there would have been no inventions, no innovations, and no breakthroughs in human accomplishment.
I don't know if you know but scientists were baffled when they took a look at the humble bumblebee. Theoretically, they said, it was impossible for the bumblebee to fly. It's a good job the bumblebee does not listen to popular opinion, because fly it certainly does.
On the flip side you have people that will dream totally outrageous dreams but never act on them. The result? Broken dreams, and tattered aspirations.
If you limit yourself with self-doubt, and self-limiting assumptions, you will never be able to break past what you deem impossible. If you reach too far out into the sky without working towards your goal, you will find yourself clinging on to the impossible dream. You know, always thinking, "This time next year i'm going to be a millionaire".
I want you to indulge me for a moment and try this exercise. Take a piece of paper and write down some goals in your life. Under one header, list down things ‘you know you can do’. Under another header, write the things ‘you might be able to do.’ And under one more, list the things that are ‘impossible for you to do.’
Now look at all the headers and I want you to every day accomplish the goals that are under things ‘you know you can do’. Check them when you are able to accomplish them. As you slowly are able to check all of your goals under that heading, try accomplishing the goals under the other header-the one that reads ‘you might be able to do.’
Once you have completed the items under these headings you will be fired up and i then want you to move the items from the header that reads things that are ‘impossible for you to do’ and I want you to move them to the list with the heading of things ‘you might be able to do.’
As you work your way through this process, you will find out that the goals you thought were impossible become easier to accomplish. Then the impossible begins to seem possible after all.
You see, the technique here is not to limit your imagination. It is to aim high, and start working towards that goal little by little. However, it is also not advisable to set goals that is truly unrealistic.
Those who just dream towards a goal without working hard end up disappointed and disillusioned.
On the other hand, if you told someone a hundred years ago that it was possible for man to be on the moon, they would laugh at you. If you had told them that you could send mail from here to the other side of the world in a few seconds, they would say you were out of your mind. But, through sheer desire and perseverance, these impossible dreams are now realities.
Thomas Edison once said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Nothing could be truer. For one to accomplish his or her dreams, there has to be hard work and discipline. But take note that that 1% has to be a think-big dream, and not some easily accomplished one. Should stop looking for things that are easy, but focus of the things that are worth it.
Ask anyone that trains seriously at the gym and he or she will tell you that there can be no gains unless you step out of your comfort zone and commit in your own mind, that this thing is not going to beat you. Remember the saying, “No pain, no gain”? Well that is true, but even though it is painful, that process only lasts for a while, then after that, you experience the joy of completing the task and all of the rewards that come with that.
So dream on, friend! Don’t get caught up with your perceived limitations. Think big and work hard to attain those dreams. As you step up the ladder of progress, you will just about find out that the impossible has just become a little bit more possible.
Have the right perception, because your perception will effect your opinion and your opinion will effect your attitude and your attitude will effect your performance..
