Are the holidays to rest?
Many people make the mistake of relaxing during holiday periods, like Christmas, Easter and Summer. This is what seperates the top income earners from everyone else. What can you do to accelerate your network marketing business during the Holiday season when most people are just chillin and having a good time? There are a number of strategies you can use, that will cause you to have massive growth. 1. Product exposé’s. Around these periods people are more receptive to looking at new things because of the atmosphere of the holiday period. So you can capitalise on this to expose your product or service to more people. Use the exposé’ as an opportunity to invite new people to your local meeting if you have one. 2. Holiday audio cards. Send out with your Christmas cards a CD you recorded especially for that person, and wish them happy holidays. Then tell them you would love to chat with them at the start of the year because you want to give them the gift of success. This is a great way of planting a seed in someone's mind to start getting them to think outside of the box and introduce the concept of Home Based Businesses to them. 3. Re-contact old customers. You can use this as an opportunity to send out thank you cards to people who have ordered from you in the past but maybe you have not spoken to them in a while. Have small gifts for them, and let them know how much you appreciate their business. Then ask them for referrals for the coming year. The new year is normally the time when people are willing to try something new with the possibility of having a good year to come. 4. Holiday upline open house. If you have built an organisation, you could either open your house or someone whose house is a decent size and invite your team around for a social, getting everyone to bring a guest to the event. This could be a party to celebrate the successes of the past year. Have material there to let people know why you are celebrating. This is an indirect way of exposing the business to new people. It needs to be a fun social with music and games, each person can then connect with their guest and arrange to follow up in January. 5. Neighborhood holiday mailer. You can use the holiday period as an excuse to get to know your neighbours. Send them a Christmas card introducing yourself as their neighborhood rep, and wish them a Merry Christmas and Happy new year. Then follow up in January and see if they had a good Christmas and start the process of getting to know them. In doing this you will eventually uncover a need and you will be able to position your product or service to help fulfill that need. If you always remember to be interested in them and not just interesting in what you have, then you will be able to develop strong relationships which will lead to buying customers. 6. Visit community holiday functions. The thing is to connect, connect and connect. You need to connect to new prospects during the holidays and community functions are a great way to do this. Get out and become a "networking machine." Network and meet people and make new friends and give away something to them as a holiday gift. Make sure every person you talk to has a gift and your card. And that you have some form of contact info as well. Check your Sunday newspaper for where these events are. 7. The holiday success card. Send people you know, and also prospects a seasonal card, and include within it an article about success, goal setting, leadership, time management, or any other success oriented topic. This will set you apart from the rest. If you work your business during the holidays, you will be surprised at what might happen to your business as a result. Alternatively you can do what 95% of the people who fail do and that is to do nothing in the holidays and convince yourself by your own excuses that people are not going to want to be doing anything during this time.
