Are You Prepared For The Battle Ahead?
We have to be prepared for the battles that lies ahead because whether we like it or not, they are coming. God did not promise us a problem free life when we became a Christian, but he did promised us that he would never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) Jesus also said this: Joh 16:33 I have told you this so that through me you may have peace. In the world you will have trouble, but be courageous—I have overcome the world!” So Jesus understood the challenges that we were going to face on this Christian journey, so he wanted to let us know in order for us not to get lured into a false sense of security. The enemy of our souls is constantly on the attack and he has created an environment in the world, which is a constant war zone for the believer in Jesus Christ. We will get tempted by the things we like and are attracted to, (The Lust Of The Eyes). We will get attracted to the things that feel good to us (The Lust Of The Flesh). We will get attracted to the things that make us feel important, whether that do careers, positions in organisations or any other thing that gives us some kind of social status (The Pride Of Life). This is the same attack he used in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, it is the same attack he used with Jesus in the wilderness and it is the same attack he uses with each and everyone of us on a daily basis: 1Jn 2:14 I have written to you, little children, because you have known the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you have known the one who has existed from the beginning. I have written to you, young people, because you are strong and because God’s word remains in you and you have overcome the evil one. 1Jn 2:15 Stop loving the world and the things that are in the world. If anyone persists in loving the world, the Father’s love is not in him. 1Jn 2:16 For everything that is in the world—the desire for fleshly gratification, the desire for possessions, and worldly arrogance—is not from the Father but is from the world. 1Jn 2:17 And the world and its desires are fading away, but the person who does God’s will remains forever. So are you prepared for the coming battles ahead? It could have been easy for God to just stop us from experiencing any negativity, but that would not allow are love that we say we have for him to be tested and true love will always be tested at some point and if it is true, it will stand the test of time. Joh 17:13 “And now I am coming to you, and I say these things in the world so that they may have my joy made complete in themselves. Joh 17:14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. Joh 17:15 I am not asking you to take them out of the world but to protect them from the evil one. Joh 17:16 They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. Joh 17:17 “Sanctify them by the truth. Your word is truth. So it is clear to see that how we prepare for the battles ahead is to know God’s word, to saturate ourselves in his word, so that in the times of testing and pressing, what comes out is a Godly response fueled by the word that is in us! This is why another strategy of the enemy is to first stop us from reading the word and then secondly he will try to distract us from praying. Finally he will try and take our desire away from us to want to fellowship with other believers by not going to church, small group meetings and other places where believers encourage each other. Once a person starts pushing away from the things of God, gradually the enemy will start pulling them more and more forwards the things of this world, until they get so saturated with this world, they continue on the road to a lost eternity. So we need to pray for one another and stand in the gap for the people who are struggling and being pulled in the wrong direction. The enemy may try it, BUT HE HAS NOT WON! Parallel Principles In order to be successful in Reliv a distributor has to saturate themselves in the System. This will fuel their activity and improve their results and they can still do this working their business part time. However, life will always try and stop them from doing that and the more they do not do that, is the more they get pulled towards their excuses, which stops their business from growing. If a person gets pulled farther enough away from the system, eventually they will leave the business and make the excuse, that the business just wasn’t for them. The reality is the business is for anyone who has a passion for helping others, a desire for changing their situation and who is teachable with a good work ethic.
