I think one of the saddest things to see is someone who pretends to be a Christian, you know, the person who tries to come across as holy but their lifestyle stinks. That person is just kidding themselves. Or you have the person who is very religious, so they go to church every week, they are at all of the extra services, they get involved in all of the church activities and feel they are right with God because of what that do. They are quick to stand in judgement of someone else but never check themselves. They really do not have any relationship with God but just a bunch of works (things they do which they feel of good).
God hates pretence, that is why he said in his word through Paul talking to the Philippian church: Php 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. We live in a world where the church establishment has created a form of Godliness but denies the power, so there is a bunch of people going after things rather than going after God, following after the error of Ballam and Khora, who the one was enticed by money and the other rebelled against true Godly leadership. The saddest part is many people are afraid to speak the truth because they either do not want to offend or they are afraid of loosing their congregation. These leaders need to understand, if they do not speak the truth their congregation is already lost, spiritually: 1Co 4:15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. We need the fathers to come back into the churches because this luke warm social gospel that is being preached, which only talks about the blessing of God, prosperity and the good life but never addresses the area of sin and repentance, is causing people to go to hell. When John was speaking to Gaius he said: 3Jn 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. First and foremost God is concerned about a person’s soul, are they truly saved or are they just religious. A person is truly saved when they come to a stage in their life when they recognise that they are a sinner and they need a saver. Then they invite Jesus to be the Lord of their life: Rom 10:8 But what does it say? "The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart"; that is, the Word of Faith which we proclaim; Rom 10:9 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation. Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "Everyone believing on Him shall not be put to shame." So we need to be real because if we are not we are only kidding ourselves. We do not want to miss out on external life simply because we were a hypocrite in this life: Mat 7:20 Therefore by their fruits you shall know them. Mat 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Mat 7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works? Mat 7:23 And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness! Parallel Principals In this business we talk all the time about helping people and that is the way we are going to be successful, but is that truly your motive or is it all about the money! In the 5 years I have been in this business I have seen many different character types come and go, but I think the worse character type I have seen is the one that has a lot of influence over people and has the ability to get them to sign on the dotted line, giving them all these promises of help and support, but then once they are in, they never live up to their promises and constantly let people down. The reason why I think this is the worse character type is because they are just a bunch of thieves, stealing people’s dreams, stealing their hopes and causing people to stop building towards their futures thinking they are not good enough. It takes a while to learn how to become a good distributor and during that process people are going to make a lot of mistakes, but having a good Upline to fall back on is crucial in this business. Someone to act as a father or a mother in the difficult times. There are people unfortunately in the business who just want to sponsor, sponsor, sponsor and only want to work with the new person on the scene who are sponsoring. Sponsoring is important but the development of people is equally important. So if you want to be a good distributor, be real, you are not going to sponsor the next big Reliv star, but you may sponsor and develop the next Reliv star! Do not be hypocrites guys! *********************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ************************************************
