As Christians one of the sobering things we need to understand is that we cannot do it by ourselves. Life is too challenging and the devil is too conniving, so if we try to do it by ourselves we will fail every time.
There are areas of our lives that we are weak in, but God does not want us to beat ourselves up because of them, but he want us to hand over our weakness to him so he can show us how his strength is made perfect in our weakness! 2Co_12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. God takes the things and people that the world would see as weak, to accomplish greatness. People that are humble enough to recognize they are nothing, God establishes them as something! Moses thought he was not good enough to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt and speak to pharaoh, but God used him not only to speak and lead, but perform great signs and wonders. (Exodus) Gideon thought he was too weak and small to be used by God, but because of his obedience, God used him to defeat the Midianite army of thousands with only 300 men! (Judges 7) David was humble enough to truly repent after making mistakes and not just saying sorry because he got caught. So God classed him as a man after his our heart (Act 13:22) King Solomon even as king was humble enough to recognize that he cannot govern and rule the people without God’s help. So instead of asking God for riches and victory over his enemies, he asked God for wisdom to govern God’s people. 2Ch 1:10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? 2Ch 1:11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: 2Ch 1:12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. God hates pride and arrogance and with that kind of person, God cannot use: 1Pe 5:5 Likewise, you younger, submit yourselves to the elder. Yes, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble. It was pride the caused the devil to fall in the first place and it is pride that the devil uses to try and get us to fall. It is one of the worst things you can see, when a person is so full of himself or herself that they cannot respect other people or they cannot serve other people. A person who is full of pride can only see things from their perspective and cannot admit when they are wrong. A person with pride will eventually alienate the people around them, simply because of their bad attitude. A person with pride can think they are doing God’s work but be actually pushing people away from God. Finally a person with pride can only see other people’s faults. Pro 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. If we can just put God first in our lives and understand we can do nothing without him, then we position ourselves to be used greatly by him. Parallel Principals In this business we are independent distributors building our own businesses, however we are interdependent on each other. If a person tries to build this by himself or herself they will fail every time. The reason why the system is so important is because it promotes teamwork and unity. You see there is power in unity, but weakness in division. The system supports you in your areas of weakness and allows you to hold onto the strength of others. Someone with pride will not see the value of the system, because will think they can do this by themselves. Also because there is a lot of recognition that a person can achieve in this business, if a person has pride in them, they can start believing their own hype. The danger of success is just a little bit. Pride will kill your business and also the relationships of the people around you. Pride will stop your progression and pride will also impact the way you are perceived at the corporate level. So put God first in your business and watch how God will use you and it! ************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv **************************************
