Sometimes life has a tendency to try and wire us out, but no matter how tough it gets, we have to push through. We live in a fallen world and because of that negative things are going to happen. So it is not so much about the situation, but it is more about our response to the situation. God uses situations to test our faith, does that mean God enjoys seeing us in pain or going through challenging situations? Of course not, but he understands they are a necessary evil in order to develop faith and character.
All of the prophets that were murdered in the Old Testament, God could have stopped that from happening, but he knew they were paving the way, which was leading to Jesus and his ministry. All of the earlier church martyr’s from Steven onwards, God could have prevented those situations, but he knew it was part of process that was going to cause the gospel to be spread across the world. The 400 years of the African slave trade, as horrible as it was, God could have prevented it, but he knew even though a whole people group were being displaced, it would be moving them from an area that was being heavily islamafied as well as other many pagan practices, and even though Christianity was used in a perverted way to add to the oppression, the truth of the gospel would still be know and create a nation of people passionate for him. You see we can all look at our individual situations and say “Why is God Allowing This To Happen To Me” However God’s ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts. He knows what he is doing, even when we cannot see it. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. We need to push through and trust God, we need to be our brother’s keeper and pray for one another with ceasing. We need be there to hold up our brother or our sister’s arms in the heat of battle just like Aaron and Hur did for Moses: Exo 17:10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. Exo 17:11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. Exo 17:12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Exo 17:13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. Exo 17:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. Exo 17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi: (Lord is our Banner) You need to surround yourself with like-minded people, people that will add to your life and not people that will suck the life out of you. This way when challenges come, you will have a set of people around you to cheer you on and be an encouragement. God has established his church, his people to be a community of encouragers to help people push through! Parallel Principles In order for you grow a successful Reliv business, you have to have the right people around you, as well as being a person who can push through when the challenging times come, and they will come. You have to know that whatever season of your business you are in, you are going to make it. You have to have that strong belief that, if you have placed your business before God, just as long as you do the activity and learn the skills you need to learn, then you will see the fruits of your labor. Pushing through is such an important activity to do in our business because you come across so many negative people and people who are just quitters. As you push through, it reaffirms your personal WHY As the bible says, “Those who endure to the end shall be saved” and in our business it is “Whose who endure to the end shall obtain financial freedom, Time freedom and improved health” *********************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ***********************************
