This world promotes that the pursuit of happiness is to be rich, that money is the answer to all things. It promotes that enough is never enough, so you need more and more.
Then you look at the distribution of wealth in the world it is clear to see that if everyone was united as a people, there would be enough to make sure everyone was taken care of. Unfortunately in this world, a lot of the time with great wealth come great greed and also pride/haughtiness, people thinking they are better than others. This air of superiority stops there from being a true relationship between the very rich and the very poor. Now and again you may get a very rich person who needs to do a public relations exercise and so is seen to be engaging with the down and outs but many times that engagement is very limited then it is business as usual. Fast cars, big houses, the boat, the plane, the high society events, that is the illusion that Satan has created, that is the candy that seduces that child away from it's parents. Satan will give you exactly what you want, to get what he wants, which is your soul. Matthew 19:26 26 For what does a man profit, if he should gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul I am so glad that we serve a God that is so very rich, but did not do a public relations exercise when he engaged with us, but he acted out of true love, a love that is everlasting: 2 Corinthians 8:9 9 for ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that because of you he became poor-- being rich, that ye by that poverty may become rich. Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord True wealth is in the knowledge of Jesus Christ being your Lord and your Saviour, having your life being lead by the Holy Spirit. This wealth will never go away, it is long term wealth! Leading this type of life can lead to physical wealth, but not necessarily, God calls many different people to different places for specific reasons. King Solomon was very physically wealthy and that was to give God glory so that the knowledge of the God of Israel could spread across all of the known world because his wealth was re-enforced by his wisdom: 1Kings 3:10 -14 The Lord a was pleased that Solomon made this request. 11 God said to him, Because you asked for the ability to make wise judicial decisions, and not for long life, or riches, or vengeance on your enemies, 12 I grant your request, and give you a wise and discerning mind superior to that of anyone who has preceded or will succeed you. 13 Furthermore, I am giving a you what you did not request- riches and honor so that you will be the greatest king of your generation. 14 If you follow my instructions a by obeying b my rules and regulations, just as your father David did, then I will grant you long life. It is all about character, there are many believers that are asking God for financial wealth and they will never get it for 2 reasons:
Life is about being spiritually rich and if physical riches come, then you are in a position to be a blessing in that area. God has promised to always take care of our needs, so we should not worry about our provision if we are living a life of faith Matthew 6: 26 - 34 26 Look at the birds in the sky: They do not sow, or reap, or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you more valuable than they are? 27 And which of you by worrying can add even one hour to his life? 28 Why do you worry about clothing? Think about how the flowers of the field grow; they do not work or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these! 30 And if this is how God clothes the wild grass, a which is here today and tomorrow is tossed into the fire to heat the oven, wont he clothe you even more, you people of little faith? 31 So then, don’t worry saying, What will we eat? or What will we drink? or What will we wear? 32 For the unconverted pursue these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But above all pursue his kingdom a and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. Parallel Principals Building a Reliv business can make you rich, but that should not be your focus, your focus should be to go out and help as many people as you can. In doing that you will develop the character to sustain the riches when they do come. The personal development that happens to a person that grows this business is amazing and it impacts all areas of that persons life. Many people come into our business thinking they like helping people but that is truly challenged while they are building their business, and to the level that is required to help others, this is why many people whether believers or non believers, do not last the course. Everyone wants to be successful, but not everyone is willing the pay the price. ******************************************* Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv *******************************************
