We live in a world where people never want to admit and take ownership of things when they go wrong. They always want to blame other people and it is never their fault, always pointing the finger, never realising that every time they do that there are 3 fingers pointing back at them.
There is never any breakthrough with out honesty! Honesty is the thing that causes us to understand that we are the problem not anybody else. From the beginning of time man has been playing the blame game, in the garden of Eden Adam and eve played it: Genesis 3: 12 -13 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. 13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. It is a lot easier to blame someone else rather than take ownership of the issue ourselves. One of the reasons why we as Christians need to repent is because repentance shows that we have taken ownership of the mistakes of the past and we want to get rid of them and start again. Bible says: Repent and be baptised In other words, take ownership of your mistakes, bring them to God, so that you can get rid of them and then after that make a public declaration that this is you now, you are completely sold out to God. John the baptised preached a baptism of repentance to a very proud and religious Jewish community who were relying on their bloodline and religious activities as their ticket into heaven. However John was dealing with their stubborn hearts to prepare them for the coming messiah. Luke 3 2 – 7 2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. 3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins; 4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; 6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. 7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come Getting people to release their mistakes sometimes will not make you the most popular person, however if you truly love people, then you will be compelled to help them using the truth as a vehicle. John 8:3 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free This is why as Christians our lives should be a living witness of the truth, which is Christ and him crucified: When Paul and very well educated man was talking to the people at Corinth, he said these words in 1 Corinthians 2:2 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified Truth repentance is an admission of your insufficiencies and a need for help. So today stop playing the blame game and start taking ownership! Parallel Business Principals Our industry of Network Marketing is full of people who do not want to take ownership of their own short comings. So you have people who start business opportunities then stop them, then start other business opportunities and then stop them also. All the while blaming other things for their lack of success. So you have people saying:
I could go on and on, but I am sure you get the picture. The reality is, if people would just take ownership of the problem and ask themselves, what is it that are doing or not doing that is causing these negative results, then their results would begin to change. As a company Reliv is a very strong platform for people to change their financial situation and through the system, there is road map to get there. However people choose not to plug into the system for what ever reason. So the next time you complain about your business and its lack of growth, take ownership of the problem and ask yourself, “What level of activity have I been doing and Have I been truly plugging into the system?” Your breakthrough starts with your honesty. ****************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ******************************************
