God has created us as social beings and as such we need interaction with each other. When people have the same interests it is only natural that they gravitate to each other and groups form.
This is so important because in that way relationships form and fellowship happens, which spills over into corporate praise and worship. We are independently in a personal relationship with God, however we interdependently part of the family of God. 1Co 12:12 The Unity and Diversity of Spiritual Gifts For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, form a single body, so it is with the Messiah. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit all of us—Jews and Greeks, slaves and free—were baptized into one body and were all privileged to drink from one Spirit. 1Co 12:14 For the body does not consist of only one part, but of many. 1Co 12:15 If the foot says, “Since I’m not a hand, I’m not part of the body,” that does not make it any less a part of the body, does it? 1Co 12:16 And if the ear says, “Since I’m not an eye, I’m not part of the body,” that does not make it any less a part of the body, does it? 1Co 12:17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 1Co 12:18 But now God has arranged the parts, every one of them, in the body according to his plan. 1Co 12:19 Now if all of it were one part, there wouldn’t be a body, would there? 1Co 12:20 So there are many parts, but one body. 1Co 12:21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you,” or the head to the feet, “I don’t need you.” 1Co 12:22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are in fact indispensable, We all have something to bring to the table and when we fellowship together these gifts and talents are demonstrated. Jesus took 12 men and over 3 ½ years, not only did he mentor them, but he also fellowshipped with them. He developed an intimate relationship with them, which caused him to share with them more than what he would share with the general public. Fellowship causes us to back each other up in prayer and causes us to spur each other on when maybe life is throwing challenges at us. This is why we are commanded to never take fellowship for granted because in that unity, there lays a blessing: Psa 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Psa 133:2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; Psa 133:3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. We are here to serve one another just as how Jesus served us, in the same way how the God of the universe was willing to wash our feet, we should be prepared to wash each others feet. Jesus was demonstrating fellowship and the humility true fellowship brings. We are in a world that is so busy and there are so many distractions that people are loosing the knowledge of what true fellowship is, and it is more than just going to church on a Sunday. In fellowship there is relationship and in relationship, there is unity and in unity there is blessing. The enemy wants to divide us, that is why we have this denomination and that denomination and even in the denominations there are further divisions with the different organisations and even in the organisations there is more division within the different churches and even in the churches there is even more division within the various groups within the church. We need to understand as the body of Christ, that division stops true fellowship and without true fellowship there is no unity and without unity, we miss out on blessings. As a church we need to repent and through the spirit of God start turning things around so that our spiritual landscape can be restored: 2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2Ch 7:15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. Let us get back the intimacy with God that comes when his people are unified through fellowship! Parallel Business Principles In building a Network Marketing business, you have to have unity with your team, your relationships have to go beyond just doing business together because that way, the roots go deeper. I have just come back from the Reliv European conference in the Netherlands and not only was I able to meeting up with my Reliv family that I had not seen for a while, but I was also able to make new relationships and see the advancement of true friends. This makes the roots of Reliv go deep in me. When people decide to stay away from conferences or quarterly MATs School or Local events or plugging into the system, their roots are every shallow and they can be easily swayed in their business. You see where there is unity in this business, the blessing is the growth of individuals businesses. Being in the Sunday service the morning after conference with over 50 of my fellow distributors, all worshiping together. See yokes being broken and burdens being lifted, just re-enforced to me why building my Reliv business is more than just making money from home. So we should never neglect the coming together as Reliv distributors and the system allows us to keep on track. The enemy will try to stop that through distractions, but we need to be organized with our time and with the proper planning, we will be part of the fellowship needed to build a Reliv Business. ********************************************* Jason Gregory Business Coach RELIV ********************************************
