The Perfect Church
There are many people out there that use the bad behavior of others or the flaws in human characters as an excuse to stop going to church or not to go in the first place. So a common statement you will hear is “I am not going to church because there are too many hypocrites in the church”. If you join a local fellowship of people, there is no such thing as the perfect church (Meaning local fellowship). We are all a work in progress, so that is something you will never find and if by some divine miracle you did find one, the moment you join, it would no longer be perfect! Jesus made this statement about his church when Simon Peter got the salvation of who he truly was: Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. So it was upon the understanding of who Jesus is and an acceptance of the work of the cross that a person becomes part of the church or the ecclesia (The called out ones). This is not based of a person character because is still being molded and it is not based on a person’s works because that is an outward expression of an inward change, that is also ongoing. So is it possible that someone in your local fellowship can upset you or let you down? You better believe it, therefore your reason for going to church cannot be centered around the people of that church, but it must be centered around a leading by the Holy Spirit and the spiritual growth you get from attending that local fellowship. You need to be in a church with a true spiritual father where you can be mentored into the things of God in a correct way. 1Co 4:15 You may have 10,000 mentors who work for the Messiah, but not many fathers. For in the Messiah Jesus I became your father through the gospel. As a result of that, the local fellowship would have a true spiritual leadership team of people operating in the Five Fold Ministry. Eph 4:11 And it is he who gifted some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, and still others to be pastors and teachers, Eph 4:12 to equip [Or perfect] the saints, to do the work of ministry, and to build up the body of the Messiah. Spiritual guidance is so important and a person without the right spiritual leadership will be open the deception of the enemy. Sadly there are many people that have fallen to the wayside simply because they thought they didn’t need to going to church, but there could be a isolated Christian by themselves or the hocked up with a group of people all immature in the things of God, with no true spiritual father so all where living an undirected life. We have just had a Fathers day yesterday and this day helps people to highlight the importance of a Fathers role in the leadership of a household. In many cases where there is a absentee father, the mother has to be both Mother and Father, but that was never God’s intension and even though God gives grace to the mother to bring up her children, there is always a major impact of not having a Father figure in the home. God is our Heavenly Father and he demonstrated and still demonstrates a true Father’s love and this is why we go to church, so that corporately we can express our love for him. If a person does not truly love God, then they will not see the value in going to church and will make up excuses why they do not have to go like, “I don’t need to go church to be a Christian, that is just religiousness”. EXCUSES! Love, is not just expressed individually, it is also expressed corporately. So do not look for the perfect Church, but look for a spiritually bible based lead church. Parallel Business Principles The 3 reasons why a person is not successful in Reliv is:
Every other reason for failure can traced back to these 3 reasons. When you do not plug in, you disconnect yourself from the power that you need to build your business. This is when you now try to do it all yourself and just get frustrated. When you do not plug in, your wall of belief is not very high and people can easily dissuade you and steal your dreams. Not being teachable is the perfect example of Ego Vs Bank account. People who are not very teachable will never progress to far in life. The same is true within Reliv, unteachable people eventually leave and may even blame the company for their failure. A good intention without action is just a good intention. The graveyard is full of good intentions and many things were not even invented just because of good intentions, but no action. Even when God brought the children of Israel into the Promised Land, he said, “Here is the land, now go and possess it”. This means they had action to take and without action, they would not have possessed the land. So make sure you identify these 3 things in your life and make the right choices. ******************************************* Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ********************************************
