We all have situations that sometimes seem insurmountable and when we look at them with our natural eye, we can’t see how things are going to turn around. However it is in those times that we have to make the shift from this world’s knowledge to Kingdom knowledge.
You see in God’s kingdom he has given us everything we need for life and godliness: 2Pe 1:3 We are Called to Holy Living His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the full knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence. 2Pe 1:4 Through these he has given us his precious and wonderful promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, seeing that you have escaped the corruption that is in the world caused by evil desires. 2Pe 1:5 For this very reason, you must make every effort to supplement your faith with moral character, your moral character with knowledge, 2Pe 1:6 your knowledge with self-control, your self-control with endurance, your endurance with godliness, 2Pe 1:7 your godliness with brotherly kindness, and your brotherly kindness with love. 2Pe 1:8 For if you possess these qualities, and if they continue to increase among you, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in attaining a full knowledge of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah. The Kingdom operates under different laws and principles than this world. One such principle is the power of praise. In order for you to praise when you are going through challenging situations, it is going to take faith to know that God is in control. Faith is kingdom currency, which causes kingdom business to be carried out: Psa 71:1 A Prayer for Deliverance In you, Lord, I take refuge; let me never be humiliated. Psa 71:2 Rescue and deliver me, because you are righteous. Turn your ear to me and save me. Psa 71:3 Be my sheltering refuge where I may go continually; command my deliverance for you are my rock and fortress. Psa 71:4 My God, deliver me from the power of the wicked and the grasp of ruthless practicers of evil. Psa 71:5 For you are my hope, Lord God, my security since I was young. Psa 71:6 I depended on you since birth, [ when you brought me from my mother’s womb; I praise you continually. Psa 71:7 I have become an example to many that you are my strong refuge. Psa 71:8 My mouth is filled with your praise and your splendor daily. Without faith it is impossible to please God and it is also impossible to truly praise him. True praise is an acknowledgement that you have already been delivered. True praise is an offering that comes from deep within. You can always tell when a person has experienced God’s delivering power in the past, because their praise is always on a different level from the person who is just going through the motions. In order to get a person to truly praise him in spirit and in truth, sometimes God has to allow us to go through stuff, that brings us to are knees in total dependency on him. I read a statement in a book I have just finished reading called “The Power Of A Praying Husband” by Stormie Omartian and this guy said “God had to bring me to the end of my resources to show me, he was my only resource” God is working things out in us and sometimes that involves challenging times. However our attitude through these times are going to determine the level of kingdom transactions that take place. David understood about praise and we see that in the account when he was bring the Arch of the covenant back to Jerusalem. David messed up at first trying to do things his own way, which resulted in a man death who thought he was doing a good thing but was outside of the will of God. However afterwards when David learned his lesson and started doing things God’s way, he was able to usher back in the presence of God and that was accompanied with a lot of praising: 2Sa 6:12 Later on, David was informed, “The Lord has blessed the home of Obed-edom and everything he has since he’s in possession of the Ark of God.” So David went out joyfully and brought up the Ark of God to the City of David from Obed-edom’s home. 2Sa 6:13 After those who were carrying the ark of the Lord had taken six steps, he sacrificed oxen and fattened animals, 2Sa 6:14 dancing in front of the Lord with all of his strength and wearing a linen ephod. 2Sa 6:15 So David and the entire assembly of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and trumpet blasts. Never underestimate the power of true praise in your life, because that will have a direct collation on the amount of faith you are operating in. Rom 8:28 We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose. Parallel Business Principles When building any type of business, you have to be able to look beyond the now. You have to always keep your eyes on the end game because if you don’t, you will always be distracted by your current circumstances. If you want to be effective in this world, you first have to be effective in the kingdom and understand where your strength comes from. The king of the kingdom says these words as it related to Israel but also relates to us today: Deu 8:17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. Deu 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. So you can see, if we always put God first we will be operating in that kingdom currency call faith that will allow us to prosper, no matter what we are doing. Also whatever we are doing, when we know God is in control of it, we will always find the opportunity for ministry in it! Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. ************************************************ Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ************************************************
