Many people make the mistake of thinking that heaven is a an automatic place where everyone goes to when they die. So you have people at funerals of people that lived less than moral lives according to God's standard and they say statements like “I will see you in heaven” or “I know God is looking after them in heaven”
However God's requirements to getting into heaven are very clear and he is also very clear on the people who will not be with him in heaven: This is just a section of the people mention in the bible who do not enter into God's eternal rest when they die Romans 1: 26 – 32 26 For this reason, God delivered them to degrading passions as their females exchanged their natural sexual function for one that is unnatural. 27 In the same way, their males also aban doned their natural sexual function toward females and burned with lust toward one another. Males committed indecent acts with males, and received within themselves the appropriate penalty for their perversion. a 28 Furthermore, because they did not think it worthwhile to keep knowing God fully, God delivered them to degraded minds to perform acts that should not be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, quarreling, deceit, and viciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God- haters, haughty, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to their parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Although they know God's just requirement- that those who practice such things deserve to die- they not only do these things but even applaud others who practice them. You see God has a standard which he expects us to live by and if we do not live by that standard and we never change, then we will miss out. This life is a testing ground for eternal life, so if we cannot be faithful to God in the few short years we have in this life, we definitely would not be faithful to him if we live of ever! Eternal life is a gift for those people who truly love God and the people who truly love God, obey his commandments: John 2:15 - 17 15 If you love me, you will obey a my commandments. 16 Then I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you forever- 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept, because it does not see him or know him. But you know him, because he resides with you and will be in you 1 John 2: 14 -17 14 I have written to you, little children, because you have known the Father.I have written to you, fathers, because you have known the one who has existed from the beginning. I have written to you, young people, because you are strong and because God's word remains in you and you have overcome the evil one. 15 Stop loving the world and the things that are in the world. If anyone persists in loving the world, the Father's love is not in him. 16 For everything that is in the world- the desire for fleshly gratification, the desire for possessions, and worldly arrogance- is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world and its desires are fading away, but the person who does God's will remains forever. Even Jesus when he was selecting his inner circle of disciples did not just chose anyone, specific people were chosen and then he mentored them and they had to take onboard the teaching. Some did others did not and the one that did not got replaced. God is looking for the right people, people who have a heart for him, he is not looking for people who are perfect, but he is looking for people who can be washed up and taught so that they can develop into the perfect person they were called to be. Many times our pride and arrogance stops God from being able to work through us and if that is the case and God wanted to use us in a specific area, if we are not willing to change, God will just raise up someone else to do the job. So are we part of the CALLED and or part of the CHOSEN! Parallel Principles In Reliv we are looking for the right people to mentor and help change their lives. Unfortunately many times people are not in the right mindset to be mentored and that stops their grow in this business. Now you can try and force someone to change or you can go and raise up someone else, it would be better to raise up someone else until that person is ready to change. You can always tell if a person is ready to change and build a Reliv business because are very teachable and they plug into the system and do not give you any excuses. The people who are not ready to build a Reliv business, give you every excuse in the book and they never plug into the Reliv system. Those people are wasting their time and yours and you need to raise up someone else. In order to build this, it is going to take humility and obedience but if a person is will to do that, then with some effort and commitment, they can change their lives and the life of others. ********************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv **********************************************
