Being a Christian is a personal decision an individual has to make for himself or herself, you cannot save someone, no matter how badly you want to.
God is so gracious that he gives everyone of us a choice and because he does, we have to respect the choices individuals make to either serve him or not. If we don’t and try to strong-arm them into the kingdom, we will push them away from God rather than pull them in. However, the part we can play is to live our lives by example, so that every time that people observes us, we are being a witness. I see the mistake a lot with married couples, where one of the them is not a Christian and the Christian spouse always tries to make the other feel guilty when they ask them to go to church with them and the other one says no. We have to remember, we do not do the convicting, the Holy Spirit does: Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. The Bible we most confess with our mouths and BELIEVE with our hearts the Jesus died and rose again and his blood has cleansed us. So a mouth confession is just not enough. You see it all the time in churches where people go up to the front and rise their hands to say they accept Jesus, but how many really believe with their hearts and are not just responding to a emotional presentation and group dynamics? To be a Christian is a definitive response to the gospel message and fruit of that response is seen through out that person’s live. They become part of the family of God and as family members they should be treated like one. This means if they are going through some issues, the family doesn’t start condemning them but they start supporting them. Sometimes that support can come in the form of giving them a little space but still being a witness. Another times that support can come in the form of sitting down, talking with them as a fellow brother or sister in Christ. Every situation is different and needs to be treated that way, but always in wisdom. We can also do our part by praying in the background and warring in the spirit for that person. Remember the weapons of our warfare are not carnal: 2Co 10:3 Of course, we are living in the world, but we do not wage war in a world-like way. 2Co 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not those of the world. Instead, they have the power of God to demolish fortresses. We tear down arguments 2Co 10:5 and every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive in order to obey the Messiah. 2Co 10:6 Once your obedience is complete, we will be ready to reprimand every type of disobedience. We must never forget that we are in a battle and that battle starts within our minds, so the enemy tries to disarm us as much as possible by getting us to stop, reading, stop praying and stop fellowshipping. So when we see that in our brothers or sisters, this such direct our prayers. We also need to operate in wisdom, because the enemy can also use our responses to that person, to push them away. Remember the person has to work out their own salvation, but we can still can be a witness through our lives. When the children of Israel were being delivered from Egypt, each house had to put the blood on their own doorpost to stop the death angel from coming in and taking the first born. In the same way each individual has to put the blood of Jesus on their own hearts and in obedience to God, live their lives. Parallel Business Principles There is a very relevant parallel here when building your Reliv business and that is, you cannot take someone further than they want to go. Sometimes you want it so badly for someone else but they don’t want it ad bad for themselves. In these cases you can just frustrate yourself trying to get someone to build a business, who is just not ready to. In theses cases you need to go and help somebody else but still being that witness to the other person, that you are there to help people that want help. Hopefully that other person will wake up and start building their business, but if they don’t then you still have people you are working with. Someone has to know their why, WHY are they building their business. ************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv **************************************
