Your Are A Lot Stronger Than Your Physical Body
We are as creations of God, in his image and likeness, triune beings. We are Body, Spirit and Soul and each one of our elements affect the other. This is why when we are spiritually low it can effect our physical body and that is why stress is one of the biggest killers and the fastest why to destroy your immune system. When a person is fit and healthy, it impacts their soul, many times people feel much better about themselves, their mind feels more alert and they are able the learn more, so we are all connected. However before we were ever a physical body, we were spirit, because God breathed his spirit into Man and Man (Mankind) became a living soul (Gen 2:7) So we existed in God way before our body’s were formed from the dust of the ground. This is why we are a lot stronger than our physical body’s, so we should never let our physical limitations dictate our future potential. Jesus raised up a group of man to do greater works than he did while he was here: Joh 14:12 “Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, the one who believes in me will also do what I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. Joh 14:13 I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Joh 14:14 If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it.” There is unlimited potential in us when we are connected to the source of life, our bodies grow old and eventually shutdown and go back to the dust, whereas our spirit lives for ever and never gets old. This is why the potential of the human spirit is far greater than the physical limitations a person may have. This is why, as a parent with a child with special needs, I have so much hope for the future for my son, because I understand his spirit has not got special needs and God is the infinite all powerful God, that can do super abundantly more than I could ever ask or think. You see, a person outside of a relationship with God can never have that hope, because all they will see is the physical limitations of a person with special needs and if it is their child, their only response many times is one of long term depression, which manifests itself in many different ways. However when a person has that relationship with the infinite God, they walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthian 5:7) To have faith is a choice because the first part of faith is choosing to listen, the second part of faith is choosing to respond and the third part of faith is choosing to continue. The result of this is, having experiential faith where you personally see God’s hand in your life because your faith causes God’s hand to move in your life: Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Mat 17:14 Jesus Heals a Boy with a Demon (Mark 9:14-29; Luke 9:37-42) As they approached the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, knelt down in front of him, Mat 17:15 and said, “Sir, have mercy on my son, because he is an epileptic and suffers terribly. Often he falls into fire and often into water. Mat 17:16 I brought him to your disciples, but they couldn’t heal him.” Mat 17:17 Jesus replied, “You unbelieving and perverted generation! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him here to me!” Mat 17:18 Then Jesus rebuked the demon and it came out of him, and the boy was healed that very hour. Mat 17:19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” Mat 17:20 He told them, “Because of your lack of faith. I tell all of you with certainty, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. Mat 17:21 But this kind does not come out except by prayer and fasting. So for the believer who already has a relationship with God, who is lacking faith in certain areas, the way to increase your faith is through Pray and Fasting. There are many churches at that start of the year that engage in corporate pray and fasting for a specific time period, my church currently doing 21 days of pray and fasting. However fasting is more than just stopping eating, it involves spending more time in the word and praying and also listening so God can speak to us. We are such a slave to our appetites and routines that fasting shows us that we are stronger than our physical limitations, as we tap more into the infinite God. So let us never limit ourselves, but let us experience the strength of God in our lives. Parallel Business Principles Building a business of any sort, you have to stop looking at your perceived limitations and focus on your potential. The reason why most people fail at building their business is because they can never get out of their own way and so all they see are their limitations. However if they would just see themselves how God see them, then their whole perception of themselves would change. Gideon saw himself as the youngest person of the smallest tribe in Israel who was not able to accomplish much. However God saw him as a Might Man Of Valor! Jdg 6:12 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. So how are you going to see yourself in 2017? Please understand that you can do ALL things through Christ that strengthens you! ******************************************* Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ****************************************************
