Every single person who calls themselves a Christian has a story, that story is their journey to salvation and is called their testimony.
You see, nobody is born a Christian, so there is a point in everyone’s life that their change happened. It is always strange when I hear someone say they have always been a Christian, normally it is said when a person is trying to portray their lives as being nice and innocent. However, my bible tells me, we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Roman 3:23). In order for us to be truly saved, we have to be truly honest! Psalms 51: 6-7 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow Sometimes people feel like because of what they have done in the past that God is finished with them, this could not be further from the truth. The enemy wants people to think that way because if he can get people thinking like that, they will never repent, because they will think, what’s the point. However the Bible gives people the chance to come as they are, BUT not to stay as they are. Change is the thing that causes heaven to be populated, change can turn a drug dealer into a Pastor, change can turn a womanizer into a faithful husband. Change can completely switch the end of the story and that change can only come through a true encounter with the Lord Jesus The Christ. Paul On The Road To Damascus Acts 9 4-5 He dropped to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" He asked, "Who are you, Lord?" a The voice b said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting This encounter with Jesus completely changed Saul’s life, and when you are change by Jesus, he gives you a new name, so that was the start of Paul’s ministry. Through an encounter with the Lord, Jacob’s life was turned around and his name was changed from Jacob which means “trickster” to Israel which mean “Prince” Genesis 32:24-30 And Jacob was left alone. And a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the day. When the man saw that he did not prevail against Jacob, he touched his hip socket, and Jacob's hip was put out of joint as he wrestled with him. Then he said, “Let me go, for the day has broken.” But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” And he said to him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob.” Then he said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.” Then Jacob asked him, “Please tell me your name.” But he said, “Why is it that you ask my name?” And there he blessed him. So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, saying, “For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been delivered.” When a person has a true encounter with God they are changed and that change can be seen through new actions, they walk differently. As Christians we can be identified by our fruit, what our life produces. We are saved to serve which mirrors Jesus’s life. Jesus is looking for honest people who understand their change needs to happen. He is not looking for self righteous people who think they have arrived and nothing is wrong we them: Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance So change will happen if Jesus gets involved, so who have you been praying about? Do not give up! Their change will come Parallel Business Principals We are in a position to help people change their lives in their health and finances, but not everyone is going to want to change. So we are looking for those people who do. We need to have patience during this process or else we will not survive it. If we support people in the right way, change will happen. However people need to be honest and identify first there is a problem So do not chase after those people who do not want to change, focus on those who do. ************************************************************* Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv *************************************************************
