Have you ever done something and wished you could take it back so that it did not happen? I am sure many of us could answer “Yes” to that question. We make mistakes it is a part of life, sometimes those mistakes are big ones and sometimes they are small. The most important thing is, that we learn from our mistakes so that we do not continue to make the same ones. This is why I love so much the message of the Gospel, because it shows us that even though we made a lot of mistakes, God made a way in which we could be forgiven, without having to calculate every wrong deed and comparing it to every good deed. By recognizing that we our sinners that need a savior and then understanding that our savior paid the price for our sin that we COULD NOT afford, we have positioned ourselves to be forgiven. Then also, by understanding that now we are RECONNECTED back to our creator and can now be directed by his Holy Spirit, so that we do not keep making the same mistakes, we are on the road back to perfection. God is so gracious with us and allows us to go through things based on our choices and is always there to pick us up when we fall. One of the few good kings in the Bible was Hezekiah, he was the only person in the Bible apart from Jesus who knew the year in which he was going to die, because when he was sick and he prayed to God and God told him he was going to give him another 15 years ( 2 Kings 20) However even though Hezekiah was a good king, he still made mistakes and a big one was when he invited visitors from a foreign land into his house and he showed them everything, the Bible says there was nothing that he had which he did not show them. Obviously there was a lot of pride in what he did, trying to impress people, but the result of that was God told him through a prophet that in the future all that he had was going to be taken away from him. So even though God is able to forgive us of our mistakes, there are still consequences as a result of our actions. One of the things my Pastor says is: “Sin will take you further than you intended to go, keep you longer than you were prepared to stay and cost you more than you were prepared to pay” So as believers we should not take God’s grace for granted and understand that even though he is a God of grace, he is also a God of judgment. King David made mistakes that cost him the life of his son and yet David was identify by God as being a man after his own heart. King Solomon was the wisest King that ever lived and yet he fell into idolatry because of the many wises he had. So if we ever try living a life without the direction of the Holy Spirit, God will be there to pick us up then we fall, AND… we will fall. Parallel Business Principles Even in business we can ask God to get involved with us and direct us. If there is any aspect of your business that you are struggling with, ask God to give you the wisdom in that area. However we have to recognize that God knows everything, so IF you are not doing the things that you should be doing in your business and yet you continue to ask God for help in that specific area, The Bible says” Be not decided God is not mocked, whatever a man sows that is what he will reap” God is a God of grace, however there are consequences for our actions. ********************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv *********************************************

As Christians the one thing we should never forget is what we have access to, which is the God of ALL power. The moment we accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal savior, we tapped into creation itself!
This means, where as before we were living a life of limited potential, now because of what and who we have access to, we now are living a life of limitless potential. This is so important to understand because many times people will doubt you and you may even get to the place where you start doubting yourself, BUT….. When you can remember the God you have access too and the fact that he NEVER doubts you but has placed you on a road where HE can sustain you, then you will never let people define you again but your definition will come only from God. Gideon in the bible had to learn this lesson because he let people and his lineage define me so he could not see his potential because he was looking at his potential through the eyes of people and not through the sees of God: Jdg 6:12 The angel of the Lord appeared to him and told him, “The Lord is with you, you valiant warrior!” Jdg 6:13 But Gideon replied, “Right… Sir, if the Lord is with us, then why has all of this happened to us? And where are all of his miraculous works that our ancestors recounted to us when they said, ‘The Lord brought us up from Egypt, didn’t he?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us over to Midian!” Jdg 6:14 The Lord looked straight at him and replied, “Go with this determination of yours and deliver Israel from Midian’s domination. I’ve directed you, haven’t I?” Jdg 6:15 ¶ “Right…,” Gideon responded. “Sir, how will I deliver Israel? Look—my family is the weakest in Manasseh, and I’m the youngest in my father’s household.” God does not look at your current situation, but he looks at you in the context of where he is taking you. This is why it is so important to approach every situation with the right attitude knowing that all things are working together for your good, because of the level of relationship you have with the God of ALL power (Romans 8:28) Sometimes it is the people closest to you that doubt you the most and I know that can be the most hurtful, however never forget where your definition comes from, it is not from your spouse, your parents, your children or your siblings, it is from GOD! David was discounted by his family and yet God chose him despite of his family’s negativity: 1Sa 16:5 He said, “Peace, I’ve come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” Samuel consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice. 1Sa 16:6 When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab, and said, “Surely he’s the Lord’s anointed.” 1Sa 16:7 The Lord told Samuel, “Don’t look at his appearance or his height, for I’ve rejected him. Truly, God does not see what man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord sees the heart.” 1Sa 16:8 Then Jesse summoned Abinadab and brought him before Samuel, and he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.” 1Sa 16:9 Then Jesse brought Shammah, and he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.” 1Sa 16:10 Jesse brought seven of his sons before Samuel, and Samuel told Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen these.” 1Sa 16:11 Then Samuel told Jesse, “Are these all the young men?” He said, “There yet remains the youngest one, and right now he’s tending the sheep.” Samuel told Jesse, “Send someone to get him, [for we won’t do anything else until he arrives here.” 1Sa 16:12 So he sent and brought him. He had a dark, healthy complexion, with beautiful eyes, and he was handsome. The Lord said, “Get up and anoint him, for this is the one.” 1Sa 16:13 God’s Spirit Comes on David and Departs from Saul Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the presence of his brothers, and the Spirit of the Lord came on David from that day forward. Then Samuel got up and went to Ramah. To them David was just this small shepherd boy, but to God who had ALL power to see his future, God saw him as the greatest King to rule Israel. Yes David had his challenges and yes David made mistakes but the one thing David NEVER forgot was the God of ALL power and so even when he felt powerless he could write psalms like: Psa 51:10 God, create a pure heart in me, and renew a right attitude within me. Psa 51:11 Do not cast me from your presence; do not take your Holy Spirit from me. Psa 51:12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and let a willing attitude control me. Psa 51:13 Then I will teach transgressors about your ways, and sinners will turn to you. Psa 51:14 Deliver me from the guilt of shedding blood, God, God of my salvation. Then my tongue will sing about your righteousness. Psa 51:15 Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. Parallel Business Principles In building your Reliv business, you are going to have people that are going to doubt you and what you are doing. However you have to have enough confidence in what you are doing so that you do not let those people define you. You need to ask yourself these questions and be FULLY convinced of the answers:
If you can honestly answer those questions in a positive way, then you need to trust the God of ALL power to bless the work of your hands and then go out and do the correct activity, which will allow you and others to grow. Forget about the people who do not believe in you, no matter what your Reliv journey has been like so far and just trust in the God who is going to take you to the next level. THIS IS YOUR SEASON! *************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv *************************************** Motive Is Everything
Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God (Matthew 5:8) God sees everything, our motivates and intents as well as our actions and it is these things that we are going to get judged on. This is why God said that we should worship him in spirit and in truth, because he was letting us know that he sees everything and we cannot pull the wool over his eyes. Whatever we do in his name will be judged by fire and whatever does not stand up to the test, will be thrown out: 1Co 3:13 the workmanship of each person will become evident, for the day of judgment will show what it is, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s action. So if we are doing God, just to get things out from him, he knows that and it doesn’t matter how active you are in church. If you are just looking for a name for yourself, God know that too. As people of God we should do things out of a genuine love for him and a real appreciation of what he did on the cross. When you truly love a person, your actions are not selfish but selfless. The ironic thing is God says, if we love him with our whole heart, then all of these things we try to obtain, God will add them to us. Self-righteousness and greed is the thing that causes people to fall into religiousness and if that is where we are, God needs to show us ourselves so that we can make the decision to change. A good example of this is the Rich Young Ruler: Luk 18:18 A Rich Man Comes to Jesus (Matthew 19:16-30; Mark 10:17-31) Then an official asked Jesus, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Luk 18:19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked him. “Nobody is good except for one—God. Luk 18:20 You know the commandments: ‘Never commit adultery. [Exod 20:14; Deut 5:18] Never murder. [Exod 20:13; Deut 5:17] Never steal. [Exod 20:15; Deut 5:19] Never give false testimony. [Exod 20:16; Deut 5:20] Honor your father and mother.’” [Exod 20:12; Deut 5:16] Luk 18:21 The official replied, “I have kept all of these since I was a young man.” Luk 18:22 When Jesus heard this, he told him, “You still need to do one thing. Sell everything you have and give the money [The Gk. lacks the money] to the destitute, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come back and follow me.” Luk 18:23 But when the official [Lit. he] heard this he became sad, because he was very rich. This guy came to Jesus with the wrong motives and attitude. When light is shone on darkness it exposes everything. This guy was a follower of the Jewish law which was a school master that lead to Christ: (Gal_3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Gal_3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster), And yet with all of his religious activity he missed the Christ! Mat 7:21 I Never Knew You (Luke 6:46; 13:25-27) “Not everyone who keeps saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will get into the kingdom from [ heaven, but only the person who keeps doing the will of my Father in heaven. Mat 7:22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name, drove out demons in your name, and performed many miracles in your name, didn’t we?’ Mat 7:23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who practice evil!’” [Ps 6:8] So what is the will of the Father? Well it is not to be religiousness: Deu 15:11 Since poor people won’t cease to exist in the land, therefore I’m commanding you: Be sure to be generous to your poor and needy relatives in your land.” 1Sa 2:7 The Lord makes people poor and he makes people rich, he brings them low, and he also exalts them. 1Sa 2:8 ¶ He raises the poor up from the dust, he lifts up the needy from the trash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. Indeed the pillars of the earth belong to the Lord, and he has set the world on them. Job 34:28 As a result, the cries of the poor have reached him and he has heard the cry of the afflicted. Psa 34:6 This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard and delivered him from all of his distress. Psa 34:7 The angel of the LORD surrounds those who fear him, and he delivers them. Psa 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good! How blessed is the person who trusts in him! God heart is one of love and the poor and afflicted are what is his concern. Love cannot standby while other people suffer, so if we are in Christ we should always be ready to help when it is in our power to do so. A lot of times when people pray to be blessed, it is to only satisfy their own fleshy desires. However if people truly loved God in spirit and in truth God would bless them because he knows they would be a blessing to others. So what are your motives when you do what you do? Parallel Business Principles To build a Reliv business successfully, you have to have the right motives, if you do not have a genuine passion for helping people, then you should be doing something else. That passion is not just to help people with the products, it is also to help people improve their finances, because these are the two areas that people struggle the most with. In order to help people effectively, you are going to have to increase your skill set and if you are not prepared to do that, then you should be doing something else. Too many people say they want to help people, but their actions say something else. The time when a person’s true motive will be revealed is in times of testing, when people say NO or they get challenging customers or distributors. Also when it is time to learn the business properly by plugging into the system. All of this will reveal what is truly going on. People start off with good intentions, but if that is not backed up with correct action, then their positive impact on others will be very limited with Reliv. ................................................ Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv *************************************** And he was parted from them about a stone's cast; and he kneeled down and prayed, saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done (Luke 22:41-42) Jesus had made a commitment to completing the work of salvation and he had made that decision at the beginning of time. Now it was time for that commitment to be tested, everything in his humanity did not want to go through the suffering of the cross, however because he was committed, he had to look passed his feelings and see the bigger picture. We live in a world that promotes the message “Seeing is believing” whereas God's way is completely opposite in that “Believing is seeing”, it is called faith. Faith puts us in the place where we can now begin to see, because God cannot work where there is no faith: Mark 6: 4-6 And Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages teaching Faith is the catalyst that causes God's hand to move and without it, it is impossible to even please God (Hebrews 11:6) Our faith in God intensifies our commitment to God and when a person is committed it is reflected in how they live their lives. Many people are sincerely committed to a belief system for a number of reasons:
You can be sincere about something but sincerely wrong, this is why Jesus said: “They should know the truth and the truth shall set them free” (John 8:32) Jesus was committed to us and this is why he did not let the religious leaders of the day intimidate him, in fact he confronted them head on and exposed the hypocrisy calling them a generation of vipers: KJV Matthew 23: 27- 29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity Jesus understood the power of commitment, but he also understood the danger of being committed to the wrong thing through religiousness. This is why he dealt with the religiousness mindset so directly and so harshly. Our commitment will determine our progression, commitment to reading the word of God will determine our knowledge of God and our knowledge of God will determine our relationship with God. This is why the devil does not want anyone reading the bible, he will try to distract us through entertainment, family, friends, work even church activities, just so we do not get into God's word and know the promises God has made for us. He also knows if we do not read and study God's word we will not know how to pray effectively. If our lives are not right and we do not know how to pray effectively, then we get impatient with God and feel our prayers are not being answered. When we get impatient with God, our commitment to God begins to waver and before you know it, our lifestyle is completely away from where God wants us to be. So I would encourage you, make a commitment to studying the word, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you, put God first and everything will be added. Parallel Principals In order for someone to be successful in Reliv, they have to be committed to their own success, when a person makes that commitment, they do not make excuses. Excuses are the back doors for the uncommitted! Once you have made a commitment to building your business, you have to understand, it is not going to be all plain sailing, you are going to have ups and downs. Commitment will cause you to plug into the Reliv system and do the things you should be doing. The bible says, does any man build a house without first counting the cost? When you make a decision to commit to anything in life, you should count the cost to see if you are willing to pay the price and if you are not then you should not commit to it! Our Reliv businesses are no different, if a person is not willing to pay the price of what is needed to build this business, then they should be doing something else. ******************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ******************************************** |
