Every Jew quotes the Shema which is found in Deut 6:4:
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD” This is their confession of faith. Is goes on to say: “Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Deu 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: Deu 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Deu 6:8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. Deu 6:9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.” The knowledge of God being the first in their lives is so fundamental to the Jewish faith. This is so important for us as Christians to understand because the very foundation of our faith comes out of true Judaism. Jesus was a Jew, the writers of the New Testament were Jewish, the first people to be called Christians at Antioch were Jewish men. God wants to be first in our lives and it takes true faith in him to submit ourselves to his Lordship. I am not talking about a religious legalistic approach to God, which is nothing more than a works based approach to our salvation, but I am talking about a true relationship with him, where our spirit connects with the Holy Spirit and we become new people, we are what Jesus said in John 3:3 Born Again! God sees all things; he is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Now because of this, he is the perfect guide for our lives because nothing can take him by surprise. No temptation, no sickness, no financial issue, no emotional issue and no educational issue that we can go through will take God by surprise. This is why Jesus said in his word: Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. We live in a world where people have erected all kinds of gods to themselves and they don’t even realise it. Anything that a person puts before him is an idol and God hates idolatry: Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Exo 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; Your family can be an idol if you put it before God, so can your job, your house, your business opportunity and yourself. We need to understand that the very things we have as idols in our lives, God gave them to us in the first place and he can also take them away! The enemy wants us to shift our focus away from God and unto things because he knows once he has done that, he has got us. He proved it in the garden of Eden and he has being proving it for thousands of year: Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. The origins of sin is pride, pride is what got satan to loose his position in the first place and pride is what satan uses to get us to lose our position in God also. Eze 28:14 You were the anointed cherub that covers, and I had put you in the holy height of God where you were; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Eze 28:15 You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, until iniquity was found in you. Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. The easiest god satan can get us the worship is ourselves, we call it self confidence, however self confidence outside of the context of God is just self worship! God understands satan’s plan, like I said nothing takes God by surprise, this is why told he told us in his word: Jas 4:7 Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Jas 4:8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners; and purify your hearts, double-minded ones. Jas 4:9 Be afflicted, and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to heaviness. Jas 4:10 Be humbled before the Lord, and He will lift you up. We serve a mighty God, who wants to be the Lord of our lives and who better to guide us then the God who created us! Parallel Principals When we are building something to improve our situations, we have to be very careful not to place it before God and it can be easily done. We can be so focused that before we know it God has taken second place. This is why things like this prayer call at the beginning of our working week is so important, it helps us to put things in the right perspective, it helps us to put our challenges before God and it also gives us the opportunity to ask God to intervene in our and other people’s situations. If you want to see true growth in your business, then make God the head of your business, he wants you to be successful and he has promised to bless the work of your hands, if he is placed first. Remember, you cannot fool God, God sees the heart not the outward performance, so we can hold back our own progression simply by having the wrong motives or the wrong attitude towards our business. God have given us everything in his word pertaining to life and Godliness, so we need to do our part, because he will always do his part. *********************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ***********************************

This week I want to talk about good character.
Having a good character is far greater than having loads of money, because a person with character will always have that earning potential anyway. Whereas a person without good character will always be struggling to maintain what they have earned. Pro 22:1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. Having a good character opens up doors for you because your name precedes you. You may not be as skilled as your competition in certain areas, but because of your character God will open up the door so that you supersede them. When the children of Israel wanted a king, they choose Saul because in their eyes he was tall and good looking and they felt from the outward appearance that he was well put together. However over time he exposed his true character. He let his position get to his head and his ego took over and he started to do and say things he should not have. 1Sa 13:7 And the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. And Saul was still in Gilgal, and all the people followed him, trembling. 1Sa 13:8 And he waited seven days, according to the set time with Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal. And the people were scattered from him. 1Sa 13:9 And Saul said, Bring a burnt offering here to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering. 1Sa 13:10 And it happened as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came. And Saul went out to meet him and to kneel to him. 1Sa 13:11 And Samuel said, What have you done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and you did not come in the days appointed, and the Philistines gathered themselves at Michmash, 1Sa 13:12 and I said, The Philistines will come down now on me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to Jehovah. And I forced myself and offered a burnt offering. 1Sa 13:13 And Samuel said to Saul, You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of Jehovah your God, which He commanded you. For now Jehovah would have established your kingdom on Israel forever. 1Sa 13:14 But now your kingdom shall not stand. Jehovah has sought Him a man after His own heart, and Jehovah has appointed him to be leader over His people, because you have not kept what Jehovah commanded you. You see your character or lack of it, can take you away from promises that were meant to be yours. Even though the people chose Saul to be their leader based on how he came across, God on the other hand chose David to be their true leader because of his heart. Even though Saul started quicker, David soon caught up and took over and the people recognised it: 1Sa 29:5 Is not this David, of whom they sang to one another in dances, saying, Saul killed his thousands, and David his ten thousands? 2Sa 3:1 And there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. But David became stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul became weaker and weaker. Success never changes a person with good character, however the danger of success to a person of bad character, is just a little bit! This is how God views a person of good character: Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful. Psa 1:2 But his delight is only in the Law of Jehovah; and in His Law he meditates day and night. Psa 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivulets of water that brings forth its fruit in its seasons, and its leaf shall not wither, and all which he does shall be blessed. Psa 1:4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away. Psa 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. Psa 1:6 For Jehovah knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Parallel Principals In this business there are 2 types of people, the people who build with the right motive and the people who build with the wrong one. Many times just like Saul people can look well put together and start building quickly and get promoted to various levels in the business, but just like Saul their true nature reveals itself over time and the people will begin to recognise it. Then you have the David’s who take slightly longer to start growing and being promoted to these levels, even though they were anointed years before, but they have the right character and the people also recognise it. The difference between the two is, one is building strong foundations for the long haul, where as the other is just enjoying temporary success. This is why you should never judge your success based on the success of someone else. In this business, having a good character is one of your greatest assets, because not only will it be recognised by your fellow distributors in the field, but it will also be recognised by corporate as well. Let your name precede you in the right way and just watch the doors which God will open for you. Remember God brings low the proud but he lifts up the humble. ********************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ********************************************* As Born Again people we are part of the Ecclesia, (The Called Out), the Church. The Church is not a building but a body of people, it is not an organization but an organism. This is why we are classed as the Body Of Christ, we are what God uses to spread his message of salvation.
This is why where ever you go in the world where you meet a fellow believer, they are classed as a Brother or a Sister. We all need each other, we are inter-dependent on each other and completely dependent on God. The Bible says Iron sharpens Iron: Pro 27:17 Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens a friend’s character. This is how we build each other up, working together in complete unity: Psa_133:1 A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Where there is unity we fall under the commandment of blessings that the Lord has promised us (Psalms 133:3) This is why the enemy tries his hardest to created disunity. Being part of Christ’s Church has nothing to do with Denomination but have everything to do with a Decision which involves confessing that you are a sinner who needs a savior and recognizing that Jesus died on a cross and paid the ultimate sacrifice for your sin, but then he rose again from the dead to have complete victory over the grave: Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in union with the Messiah [Jesus our Lord. 1Co 15:55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” 1Co 15:56 Now death’s stinger is sin, and sin’s power is the Law. 1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus the Messiah! So we kn0w that division come from the enemy, so it is time for people who call themselves fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ to come together and work together for a common goal and demonstrating to a dying world that there is a better way. If we see a need, it is our responsible, to help out to meet the need, with God’s help. We should not limit ourselves based on our own strength because: Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. We should be purpose driven people, who are willing to go through challenges to see God’s hand work, which will then give us even more testimony to communicate with the world, the goodness of God in the land of the living. (Psalms 27:13) Being a Brother or a Sister in Christ is more than just the words “Brother or Sister”, it is a demonstration of love, commitment, integrity and unity. Parallel Business Principles In Reliv the way we build this business is through teamwork and in order to work effectively as a team, requires unity. A selfish person will not grow a Reliv business. It is more than just a business opportunity; it is a cause/mission to Nourish Our World. It is lives being changed; it is people coming together from all walks of life and being kneaded together in a common goal. Distributors develop long-term friendships and in many case become Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Through personal development and personal commitment, people begin doing things they never thought possible. Through support and mentoring, people achieve levels and lifestyles that where not even on the their radar before. Being a Reliv distributor is more than just completely a Distributor form; it is a lifestyle and commitment to others and that is the thing that makes the difference between success and failure. ********************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ********************************* There is a spiritual connection between God and his creation and this is why it grieves him so much when that connection is lost.
When God created the angels that spiritual connection was there, that is why in Hebrew they are classed as Bane Elohiym (Son’s of God) Lucifer was the most beautiful angel, he was the anointed cherub that covers, which means he was close to God and had a lot of responsibilities. It is so important to keep the connect with God when God raises you up, or else the danger is, you will invite sin into your life in the form of pride, which is what Lucifer did: Eze 28:14 “You were the anointed cherub; having been set in place on the holy mountain of God, you walked in the midst of fiery stones. Eze 28:15 You were blameless in your behavior from the day you were created until wickedness was discovered in you. Eze 28:16 Since your vast business dealings filled you with violent intent from top to bottom, you sinned, so I cast you away as defiled from the mountain of God. I destroyed you, you guardian cherub, from the midst of the fiery stones. Eze 28:17 Your heart grew arrogant because of your beauty; you annihilated your own wisdom because of your splendor. Then I threw you to the ground in the presence of kings, giving them a good look at you! Eze 28:18 By all of your iniquity and unrighteous businesses you defiled your sanctuaries, so I’m going to bring out fire from within you and burn you to ashes on the earth before the whole watching world! Eze 28:19 Everyone who knows you throughout all the nations will be appalled at your calamity and you will no longer exist forever.”’” Breaking that spiritual connect with God means breaking that relationship and the only way a relationship with God can be re-established is through a renewed connection. When a person accepts the Lord Jesus Christ into their heart, they effectively allow him to re-establish that connection. There are many people in different religions and belief systems that are very sincere in what they are doing, however you can be sincere in something but sincerely wrong. Some of these people may even recognize Jesus as a real person, but not the God Man. In doing that, they take away the power of the cross and the connection cannot be re-established: 2Co 11:1 Paul warns against another Jesus other than the real one I wish you would tolerate a little of my foolishness. Yes, please tolerate me! 2Co 11:2 I am jealous of you with God’s own jealousy, because I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to the Messiah. 2Co 11:3 However, I am afraid that just as the serpent deceived Eve by its tricks, so your minds may somehow be lured away from sincere and pure devotion to the Messiah. 2Co 11:4 For if someone comes along and preaches another Jesus than the one we preached, or should you receive a different spirit from the one you received or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you are all too willing to listen. This is why a lot of these religions and belief systems are based on works and are very legalistic. It is people trying to re-establish the connection themselves based on what they do, but you can never have a true relationship with God this way because the most important component is missing. The spiritual connection between God and his children is what interconnects the Body of Christ (The Church). This is why we should prayer for one another and allow the Holy Spirit to show us what we should be praying for. God has also, through the spiritual connection with his children, given us the ability to discern what is of him or not: Joh 10:25 Jesus answered them, “I have told you, but you do not believe it. The actions that I do in my Father’s name testify on my behalf, Joh 10:26 but you do not believe because you do not belong to my sheep. Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. 1Jn 4:1 Test What People Say Dear friends, stop believing every spirit. Instead, test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1Jn 4:2 ¶ This is how you can recognize God’s Spirit: Every spirit who acknowledges that Jesus the Messiah has become human—and remains so—is from God. 1Jn 4:3 But every spirit who does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist. You have heard that he is coming, and now he is already in the world. 1Jn 4:4 Little children, you belong to God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1Jn 4:5 These people belong to the world. That is why they speak from the world’s perspective, and the world listens to them. 1Jn 4:6 We belong to God. The person who knows God listens to us. Whoever does not belong to God does not listen to us. This is how we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deceit. So it is the spiritual connection with God that makes every Born Again Bible believing Christian special. We are the apple of his eye and there is nothing he would not do for us and he proved that when he endured the punishment of the cross. Parallel Business Principles It is so important to remain level headed as you build your Reliv business because the potential is huge and a person can get a lot of recognition and financial benefits. If you are not level headed, the danger is you can start to believe your own hype and allow pride and haughtiness to creep in, which is what God hates. There are many gifted people out there, but sometimes your gift can take you where your character can’t keep you. No matter what you do in life make sure that spiritual connection remains between you and God. Always put him first and always give HIM the glory for your success. Also from a practical point of view, Reliv has a success System which has been established so that everyone can be successful, so stay connected to it and don’t try and build your Reliv business by yourself. You may be sincere in what you think you should be doing, but you are sincerely WRONG! ************************************ Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ************************************ |
