Nobody ever promised us a problem free life so why are we so surprised when things go wrong?
We live in a fallen world and as such anything can happen to us, however our protector, provider, healer, and all sufficient one is God. So as believers we have to learn always to look at our challenges through the eyes of faith. When things go wrong the enemy would want us to think “If God is real and I believe in him, then why is this happen to me?” He wants to sow a seed of doubt into people because once that seed in planted; he can over time continue to water it. This is why we need to deal with him just how Jesus dealt with him when he tried the same thing with him in the wilderness. He used the word to route out the seed that was trying to be planted: Mat 4:1 THEN was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. Mat 4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered. Mat 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God God can do it if we trust in him, so the only way to deal with the devil is by using the word. God requires our obedience, our availability and our faith in him, without these 3 things he cannot use us, but with them we can be used to do exploits for the kingdom. When God first called Gideon, Gideon’s reply was that he was the least in his father’s house and he was from the smallest tribe of Israel: Gideon is Visited by the Angel of theLord After this, the angel of the Lord arrived and sat down in the shade of the oak tree in Ophrah that belonged to Joash, a descendant of Abiezer, while his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a wine press in order to safeguard it from the Midianites. Jdg 6:12 The angel of the Lord appeared to him and told him, “The Lord is with you, you valiant warrior!” Jdg 6:13 But Gideon replied, “RightÖ Sir, if the Lord is with us, then why has all of this happened to us? And where are all of his miraculous works that our ancestors recounted to us when they said, ‘The Lord brought us up from Egypt, didn’t he?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us over to Midian!” Jdg 6:14 The Lord looked straight at him and replied, “Go with this determination of yours and deliver Israel from Midian’s domination. I’ve directed you, haven’t I?” Jdg 6:15 “RightÖ,” Gideon responded. “Sir, how will I deliver Israel? Look—my family is the weakest in Manasseh, and I’m the youngest in my father’s household.” Jdg 6:16 The Lord told him, “Because I’ll be with you, and you’ll defeat Midian—every single one of them!” Because of Gideon’s obedience, availability and faith, later on God used Gideon and only 300 men to defeat the whole army of midian. Without faith it is impossible to even please God (Hebrews 6) God should get the glory in all that we do, one of the reasons why God only used 300 men to defeat the midianite army was so that Israel could never say, they won because of their great number. Pride is the biggest stumbling block to our progression and eventually it will destroy us. Psa 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. As believers we do not need to be depressed because God can do it! We do not need to be anxious because God can do it (Philippians 4) We do not need to have a defeatist mentality because God can do it! 2Co 4:6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus the Messiah. 2Co 4:7 But we have this treasure in clay jars to show that its extraordinary power comes from God and not from us. 2Co 4:8 In every way we’re troubled but not crushed, frustrated but not in despair, 2Co 4:9 persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed. 2Co 4:10 We are always carrying around the death of Jesus in our bodies, so that the life of Jesus may be clearly shown in our bodies. God can do it. When we are going through something, the enemy tries to get us the take ownership of that thing and before you it we can only see through the eyes of the problem, which kills our faith. However we should walk by faith and not by sight (2Corinthians 5:7) So the next time you are going through a major issue in your life, just remember, the same God that raised Jesus the Christ from the dead, is the same God that will raise you out of your situation, if you have enough faith to believe he will. Parallel Business Principals When building any business, there can come times when the person thinks, “When is this going the happen for me?” Building a Reliv business is no different. Building a Reliv business is not easy, but it is worth it! The most important thing for we believers to do to be successful, is first put God first in our business and then be consistent with our activities. We need to operate in the fruits of the spirit and apply them to our business (Galatians 5) and we need to stay focused. God is interested in your success because you are one of his children and just as long as you are glorifying him, he will support you. If you ask him for success but your motives are all wrong, then he will not honor that, even though from the outside it may look as though you are gaining success. Remember God can do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or think if we just trust him. God can do it! *********************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ***********************************************

As Christians one of the sobering things we need to understand is that we cannot do it by ourselves. Life is too challenging and the devil is too conniving, so if we try to do it by ourselves we will fail every time.
There are areas of our lives that we are weak in, but God does not want us to beat ourselves up because of them, but he want us to hand over our weakness to him so he can show us how his strength is made perfect in our weakness! 2Co_12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. God takes the things and people that the world would see as weak, to accomplish greatness. People that are humble enough to recognize they are nothing, God establishes them as something! Moses thought he was not good enough to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt and speak to pharaoh, but God used him not only to speak and lead, but perform great signs and wonders. (Exodus) Gideon thought he was too weak and small to be used by God, but because of his obedience, God used him to defeat the Midianite army of thousands with only 300 men! (Judges 7) David was humble enough to truly repent after making mistakes and not just saying sorry because he got caught. So God classed him as a man after his our heart (Act 13:22) King Solomon even as king was humble enough to recognize that he cannot govern and rule the people without God’s help. So instead of asking God for riches and victory over his enemies, he asked God for wisdom to govern God’s people. 2Ch 1:10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? 2Ch 1:11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: 2Ch 1:12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. God hates pride and arrogance and with that kind of person, God cannot use: 1Pe 5:5 Likewise, you younger, submit yourselves to the elder. Yes, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble. It was pride the caused the devil to fall in the first place and it is pride that the devil uses to try and get us to fall. It is one of the worst things you can see, when a person is so full of himself or herself that they cannot respect other people or they cannot serve other people. A person who is full of pride can only see things from their perspective and cannot admit when they are wrong. A person with pride will eventually alienate the people around them, simply because of their bad attitude. A person with pride can think they are doing God’s work but be actually pushing people away from God. Finally a person with pride can only see other people’s faults. Pro 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. If we can just put God first in our lives and understand we can do nothing without him, then we position ourselves to be used greatly by him. Parallel Principals In this business we are independent distributors building our own businesses, however we are interdependent on each other. If a person tries to build this by himself or herself they will fail every time. The reason why the system is so important is because it promotes teamwork and unity. You see there is power in unity, but weakness in division. The system supports you in your areas of weakness and allows you to hold onto the strength of others. Someone with pride will not see the value of the system, because will think they can do this by themselves. Also because there is a lot of recognition that a person can achieve in this business, if a person has pride in them, they can start believing their own hype. The danger of success is just a little bit. Pride will kill your business and also the relationships of the people around you. Pride will stop your progression and pride will also impact the way you are perceived at the corporate level. So put God first in your business and watch how God will use you and it! ************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ************************************** |
