Life has a way of throwing all kinds of challenges at us and some of these challenges change our lives forever. However God does not allow us to go through more than we can bare and when it gets to much he always provides a a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Who do you say I am?
That is the question Jesus asked Simon Peter in Mark 8:29, and this is the most important question a person needs to address, because our eternal salvation rests on our answer. There are some people that believe Jesus was just a good man that lived years ago, and there are others that believe Jesus was just a prophet, one of many who lived in times past. Then there are those who believe Jesus is the Arch Angel Michael, just a created being, the first thing God created. Finally they are those who belief Jesus was God in the flesh. So why is the answer to this question so important? Well if salvation only comes through Jesus, then we had better get it right. Some religions teach their own version of Jesus and so the Jesus of their religion is completely different to the Jesus of the bible. God knew this was going to happen and he placed a warning in his word: 2Corinthians 11:1-4 I wish you would bear with me in a little foolishness. Do bear with me! For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough Some religions have they own version of the bible, which they have added and taken away certain things to promote their theology. However the God in his word warns against that as will in the very last chapter of the very last book: Revelation 22:18-19 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book So what does the bible say about who Jesus is? God and Jesus being the First and the Last Isaiah 41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I, Jehovah, the first, and with the last, I am he. Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts:I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God. This is repeated in Isaiah 48:12 However this statement is used somewhere else in the bible: Revelation 22:11 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. But it is used again specifically to an individual: Revelation 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. It is also repeated in Revelation 2:8 Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom One of the reasons why the Jews wanted to kill Jesus was for blasphemy because himself said to them in terms they would understand that he was God: John 8:56-58 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; and he saw it, and was glad. The Jews therefore said unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was born, I am. They took up stones therefore to cast at him:but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple To the none jewish mind that does not mean a whole lot, however to the jewish mind that statement mean everything. When God sent Moses to deliver the children of Israel out of Egypt Moses was scared that they would not listen to him, so this is what God said to Moses: Exodus 3:13-14 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? What shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM:and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you They are many other scriptures I could show you, that demonstrate that Jesus and the Father are one and the same. This is why it is so important to study the bible for yourself, so you can have the right perspective on things, because your perspective will affect your opinion, and your opinion will affect your attitude, and your attitude will affect your performance. So who do you say Jesus is? Parallel Business Principals When building a Network Marketing business, people are going to have their opinions about what you are doing, some are going to be positive and some negative. However their opinions are normally based on ignorance, to either the business model or the company or both. People's opinions can only affect you if you let them. You have to know in your heart why you are doing your business and if you are sold out to what you are doing, people's opinions will not affect you. We have products that no other company comes even close to, we know this because of the results and the fact that the majority of our now 15 products hold their own patent. We have a corporate staff that is completely sold out to future growth and expanding the network so more people can experience freedom. If you want more belief in what you are doing, plug into the Reliv success system! So whose opinion are you going to believe? ******************************************* Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ******************************************* And he was parted from them about a stone's cast; and he kneeled down and prayed, saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me:nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done (Luke 22:41-42)
Jesus had made a commitment to completing the work of salvation and he had made that decision at the beginning of time. Now it was time for that commitment to be tested, everything in his humanity did not want to go through the suffering of the cross, however because he was committed, he had to look passed his feelings and see the bigger picture. We live in a world that promotes the message “Seeing is believing” whereas God's way is completely opposite in that “Believing is seeing”, it is called faith. Faith puts us in the place where we can now begin to see, because God cannot work where there is no faith: Mark 6: 4-6 And Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages teaching Faith is the catalyst that causes God's hand to move and without it, it is impossible to even please God (Hebrews 11:6) Our faith in God intensifies our commitment to God and when a person is committed it is reflected in how they live their lives. Many people are sincerely committed to a belief system for a number of reasons:
You can be sincere about something but sincerely wrong, this is why Jesus said: “They should know the truth and the truth shall set them free” (John 8:32) Jesus was committed to us and this is why he did not let the religious leaders of the day intimidate him, in fact he confronted them head on and exposed the hypocrisy calling them a generation of vipers: KJV Matthew 23: 27- 29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity Jesus understood the power of commitment, but he also understood the danger of being committed to the wrong thing through religiousness. This is why he dealt with the religiousness mindset so directly and so harshly. Our commitment will determine our progression, commitment to reading the word of God will determine our knowledge of God and our knowledge of God will determine our relationship with God. This is why the devil does not want anyone reading the bible, he will try to distract us through entertainment, family, friends, work even church activities, just so we do not get into God's word and know the promises God has made for us. He also knows if we do not read and study God's word we will not know how to pray effectively. If our lives are not right and we do not know how to pray effectively, then we get impatient with God and feel our prayers are not being answered. When we get impatient with God, our commitment to God begins to waver and before you know it, our lifestyle are completely away from where God wants us to be. So I would encourage you, make a commitment to studying the word, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you, put God first and everything will be added. Parallel Principals In order for someone to be successful in Reliv, they have to be committed to their own success, when a person makes that commitment, they do not make excuses. Excuses are the back doors for the uncommitted! Once you have made a commitment to building your business, you have to understand, it is not going to be all plain sailing, you are going to have ups and downs. Commitment will cause you to plug into the Reliv system and do the things you should be doing. The bible says, does any man build a house without first counting the cost? When you make a decision to commit to anything in life, you should count the cost to see if you are willing to pay the price and if you are not then you should not commit to it! Our Reliv businesses are no different, if a person is not willing to pay the price of what is needed to build this business, then they should be doing something else. ****************************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ****************************************************** |
