One of the greatest assets a person has is a good name, once you loose that you have nothing. As Christians we are called to live a life of moral, social, economical and intellectual integrity. Rom 12:1 Dedicate Your Lives to God I therefore urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercies, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices that are holy and pleasing to God, for this is the reasonable way for you to worship. Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but continually be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God’s will is—what is proper, pleasing, and perfect. Rom 12:3 For by the grace given to me I ask every one of you not to think of yourself more highly than you should think, rather to think of yourself with sober judgment on the measure of faith that God has assigned each of you. The way we conduct ourselves should reflect our confession of faith and when it does, even when accusations are brought against you, evidence from you lifestyle should defend you and God will always vindicate you. Ecc 7:1 Lessons for Life A good name exceeds the value of fine perfume, and the day of someone’s death exceeds the value of the day of his birth. How a person lives their life is so important because during the passage of time your true character will be exposed and God is calling us to holiness. 1Th_4:7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to be holy. We are not meant to be spiritual Schizophrenics, meaning being one way at church and another way at home. God sees all of our lies and he will deal with us accordingly. We have an enemy Satan and he is called the Accuser of the Brethren and that spirit of accusation runs through people who open themselves up to his lies. This is why Jesus commanded us to: Mat 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Mat_19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, False witness is being mentioned in the same instance as murder, adultery and theft, so when a person gets into that, they are in a dangerous place. This is why it is so important for us to know the word for ourselves but more importantly to apply the word: 2Co 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not those of the world. Instead, they have the power of God to demolish fortresses. We tear down arguments 2Co 10:5 and every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive in order to obey the Messiah. 2Co 10:6 Once your obedience is complete, we will be ready to reprimand every type of disobedience. Pro 22:1 Advice for Everyday Life A good reputation is more desirable than great wealth, and favorable acceptance more than silver and gold. Recently someone tried to attack my character and my integrity in front of some important people, and this person would class herself as a Christian. However God is so faithful that I didn’t even need to defend myself because the other people in the room who knew me and have worked with me, rose up and defended me and vindicated me from the accusations. God will always come through for you when you trust in him. Parallel Business Principles In our Reliv business we are going to get challenged because all types of people are going to join you.
