Seasons In Life
King Solomon said in the book of Ecclesiastics ‘There is a time and season for everything under the sun. This means that not every stage of your life is going to be the same, there are going to be good times and there are going to be bad times. Many times when we are going through the good seasons of our lives, we can easily take for granted that this season will always remain. It is very easy to put God on a back burner, when everything seems to be going your way. Solomon warns us of this in this proverb: Pro 30:8 Keep deception and lies far away from me, and give me neither poverty nor wealth. Feed me with food that I need for today, Pro 30:9 so that I don’t become overfed and deny you by saying, “Who is the Lord?” or so that I don’t become poor and steal, and then misuse the name of my God. God wants us to live a good fulfilled life without lack, however sometimes we have to go through some stuff so that he can get our attention. Our faith needs to be constantly growing and just as with muscle, the only way faith can grow is when pressure is placed on it. We have a very real enemy who wants to kill, steal and destroy us (John 10:10) And if we let our guide down and allow him in, he will bring with him total destruction. He hates anything that honors God: You prospering financially with Godly Character honors God You being in a loving marriage honors God You being a true Kingdom citizen and applying Kingdom principles honors God You being in good health honors God You growing intellectually with pride and arrogance honors God You conducting yourself socially acting in love honors God Why do you think that these are the areas of your life that are constantly being tested and attacked by the enemy? This is because the kingdom of darkness knows that if you are progressing in these areas and Gods name is being honored, the world will begin to understand just how good God is! When we start slipping in any of these areas, it is because many times we start taking certain things for granted and that give the enemy and foot hold in and he begins to pry the door wider and wider. Once this starts happening God allows us to be tested so that our faith can grow which then starts to shut back the door. A good example of that is in the parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15: 11 – 30) God does not want to see us destroyed, so he will not give us more than we can bare: 1Co 10:11 These things happened to them to serve as an example, and they were written down as a warning for us in whom the culmination of the ages has been attained. 1Co 10:12 Therefore, whoever thinks he is standing securely should watch out so he doesn’t fall. 1Co 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is unusual for human beings. But God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength. Instead, along with the temptation he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to endure it. So please understand what ever it is that you are going through at the moment, it is only for a season. You may have taken your eye off the ball for a moment, but God is using this situation to get your attention again, which will cause you to have a better relationship with him in the future. Remember God wants to use your life as a show piece so the world can see how God blesses and takes care of his children: Isa 8:18 Watch out! I and the children whom the Lord has given me are a sign and a wonder in Israel from the Lord of the Heavenly Armies, who resides on Mount Zion.” So just remember, whatever you are going through, it is only for a season and sometimes just before your biggest breakthrough, is when the battle is the hottest! So hold on and don’t quit! Parallel Business Principles We are in a business that involves developing people, so we should never take people for granted, whether they are our customers or our distributors. If you treat them right, they in turn will treat you right. As Napoleon Hill says in his book “Think and Grow Rich” “If you want to be rich learn how to serve others” When you have a heart of service, then you will do good follow up with your customers and distributors and they in turn will lead you to other people that you can help. Too many people that get involved in our industry, take for granted the fact that their success is caught up in the success of others. So they are too busy trying to serve themselves and they wonder why things are not moving forward. It is important that you take the time to learn the right things so that you can then turn around and show someone else what you know and effectively serve them. So let us all go out there and be a blessing to others! ********************************************* Jason Gregory Success Coach & Mentor Reliv *********************************************
