Nobody ever promised us a problem free life so why are we so surprised when things go wrong?
We live in a fallen world and as such anything can happen to us, however our protector, provider, healer, and all sufficient one is God. So as believers we have to learn always to look at our challenges through the eyes of faith. When things go wrong the enemy would want us to think “If God is real and I believe in him, then why is this happen to me?” He wants to sow a seed of doubt into people because once that seed in planted; he can over time continue to water it. This is why we need to deal with him just how Jesus dealt with him when he tried the same thing with him in the wilderness. He used the word to route out the seed that was trying to be planted: Mat 4:1 THEN was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. Mat 4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered. Mat 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God God can do it if we trust in him, so the only way to deal with the devil is by using the word. God requires our obedience, our availability and our faith in him, without these 3 things he cannot use us, but with them we can be used to do exploits for the kingdom. When God first called Gideon, Gideon’s reply was that he was the least in his father’s house and he was from the smallest tribe of Israel: Gideon is Visited by the Angel of theLord After this, the angel of the Lord arrived and sat down in the shade of the oak tree in Ophrah that belonged to Joash, a descendant of Abiezer, while his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a wine press in order to safeguard it from the Midianites. Jdg 6:12 The angel of the Lord appeared to him and told him, “The Lord is with you, you valiant warrior!” Jdg 6:13 But Gideon replied, “RightÖ Sir, if the Lord is with us, then why has all of this happened to us? And where are all of his miraculous works that our ancestors recounted to us when they said, ‘The Lord brought us up from Egypt, didn’t he?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us over to Midian!” Jdg 6:14 The Lord looked straight at him and replied, “Go with this determination of yours and deliver Israel from Midian’s domination. I’ve directed you, haven’t I?” Jdg 6:15 “RightÖ,” Gideon responded. “Sir, how will I deliver Israel? Look—my family is the weakest in Manasseh, and I’m the youngest in my father’s household.” Jdg 6:16 The Lord told him, “Because I’ll be with you, and you’ll defeat Midian—every single one of them!” Because of Gideon’s obedience, availability and faith, later on God used Gideon and only 300 men to defeat the whole army of midian. Without faith it is impossible to even please God (Hebrews 6) God should get the glory in all that we do, one of the reasons why God only used 300 men to defeat the midianite army was so that Israel could never say, they won because of their great number. Pride is the biggest stumbling block to our progression and eventually it will destroy us. Psa 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. As believers we do not need to be depressed because God can do it! We do not need to be anxious because God can do it (Philippians 4) We do not need to have a defeatist mentality because God can do it! 2Co 4:6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus the Messiah. 2Co 4:7 But we have this treasure in clay jars to show that its extraordinary power comes from God and not from us. 2Co 4:8 In every way we’re troubled but not crushed, frustrated but not in despair, 2Co 4:9 persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed. 2Co 4:10 We are always carrying around the death of Jesus in our bodies, so that the life of Jesus may be clearly shown in our bodies. God can do it. When we are going through something, the enemy tries to get us the take ownership of that thing and before you it we can only see through the eyes of the problem, which kills our faith. However we should walk by faith and not by sight (2Corinthians 5:7) So the next time you are going through a major issue in your life, just remember, the same God that raised Jesus the Christ from the dead, is the same God that will raise you out of your situation, if you have enough faith to believe he will. Parallel Business Principals When building any business, there can come times when the person thinks, “When is this going the happen for me?” Building a Reliv business is no different. Building a Reliv business is not easy, but it is worth it! The most important thing for we believers to do to be successful, is first put God first in our business and then be consistent with our activities. We need to operate in the fruits of the spirit and apply them to our business (Galatians 5) and we need to stay focused. God is interested in your success because you are one of his children and just as long as you are glorifying him, he will support you. If you ask him for success but your motives are all wrong, then he will not honor that, even though from the outside it may look as though you are gaining success. Remember God can do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or think if we just trust him. God can do it! *********************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ***********************************************
