We need to understand that our breakthrough starts with our honesty.
God is Omniscient, he knows all things, he is also Omni-present meaning he is everywhere at the same time, so who are we trying to fool when we do not live right? The most dangerous place to be I believe, is to be a person who calls themselves a Christian, who is not living their life according to God’s word, who premeditates sin (in other words, knows something is wrong but contently does it anyway), who is always blaming others things instead of taking ownership of their own bad behaviour, and yet convince themselves that they are saved. Self delusion is the worst kind and until that person can wake up from that, they are outside of the kingdom looking in; they are window shoppers without any money. Our breakthrough starts with our honesty. Jesus spoke about this on the Sermon on the Mount when he said: Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. In other words, blessed is the person who recognises they are a sinner that needs a saviour, who TRULY repents, because when they do that, they will eventually get into heaven. You see, if we cannot be honest with ourselves, we will also lie to other people and eventually we will believe our own lies as if they are the truth. When King David sinned with Bathsheba the wife of Uriah, he came to a place where he recognized his sin and was honest with himself before God and he wrote: Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Psa 51:11 Cast me not away from Your presence, and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Psa 51:12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. David was classed as a man after God’s own heart because of his honesty before God and his acts of repentance when he did things wrong. There is no one that is never going to do anything wrong and if there are people who think they will, they are deluding themselves. Even Paul said: Rom 7:14 We know that the Law is spiritual; but I am a mortal, sold as a slave to sin. Rom 7:15 I do not understand what I do; for I don't do what I would like to do, but instead I do what I hate. Rom 7:16 Since what I do is what I don't want to do, this shows that I agree that the Law is right. Rom 7:17 So I am not really the one who does this thing; rather it is the sin that lives in me. Rom 7:18 I know that good does not live in me---that is, in my human nature. For even though the desire to do good is in me, I am not able to do it. Rom 7:19 I don't do the good I want to do; instead, I do the evil that I do not want to do. Rom 7:20 If I do what I don't want to do, this means that I am no longer the one who does it; instead, it is the sin that lives in me. Rom 7:21 So I find that this law is at work: when I want to do what is good, what is evil is the only choice I have. Rom 7:22 My inner being delights in the law of God. Rom 7:23 But I see a different law at work in my body---a law that fights against the law which my mind approves of. It makes me a prisoner to the law of sin which is at work in my body. Rom 7:24 What an unhappy man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is taking me to death? Rom 7:25 Thanks be to God, who does this through our Lord Jesus Christ! This, then, is my condition: on my own I can serve God's law only with my mind, while my human nature serves the law of sin. In order to move forward with our relationship with God, we need to be honest, honest with ourselves and honest with him. When we do, we open up the flood gates for God to pour out his blessings upon us. When we do not, he does not even hear our prayers. Parallel Principals In the same way, when we are building our Reliv businesses we have to be honest with ourselves, do we really want to build a significant income with Reliv at the same time as helping a lot of people, or do we just want to help a few people and make a little bit of money on the side? You have to be honest about this, because your true motive will affect your activity. When you are honest about what you want to achieve, nobody has to convince you to work, because you already know what you are working towards. When you are honest about what you want to achieve, once you have been shown how to build this business through the Reliv system, nobody has to convince you to plug in. When you are honest about what you want to achieve, you will not be making excuses, you will be finding solutions. When you are honest about what you want to achieve, first and foremost you will place the whole journey in God’s hands and trust that if you put the effort in, learn all of the things you need to learn and have the right attitude, then God will take care of the rest. You see our breakthrough start with our honesty, people who are not TRULY honest with themselves about this business will eventually quit and probably blame something or someone else other than themselves why they were not successful. But as I said early, God Sees All, Knows All and is Everywhere, all at the same time.
