Life can be challenging and sometimes it can be very easy to think about giving up, but it is at these times when we need to look up to where our help comes from: Psa 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. Psa 121:2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. When we understand that there is someone bigger than us looking out for us, we are able to deal with challenges a lot better. The enemy uses fear to get us to doubt God’s ability to deliver us through our challenge. However fear is just False Evidence Appearing Real, so we need to turn it upside down and when you do, it becomes Reality, Actioned Effectively through Faith! God is in control working on our behalf, so we just need to trust him and believe him and we can demonstrate that through worship. If we demonstrate through our lifestyle worship and create that environment as Kingdom Citizens no matter where we go, then we already have the victory. I have an aunty and in her life she has gone through so in her life, from the breakup of her marriage to her son being hooked on drugs and all of the negativity that is attached to that and yet she is one of the most powerful praise and worshipers I know. Being a Christian is not a guarantee of an easy life, but it is a guarantee of victory through challenge: Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. So we have to keep on holding on, too many people give up just before their breakthrough, either because the doubt gets too strong or people cause them to give up. However there are those people who never give up and keep on pressing forward regardless of the challenges and knock backs: Mar 5:25 Now there was a woman who had been suffering from chronic bleeding for twelve years. Mar 5:26 Although she had endured a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all of her money, she had not been helped at all but rather grew worse. Mar 5:27 Since she had heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his robe, Mar 5:28 because she had been saying, “If I can just touch his robe, I will get well.” Mar 5:29 Her bleeding stopped at once, and she felt in her body that she was healed from her illness. Mar 5:30 Immediately Jesus became aware that power had gone out of him. So he turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” Mar 5:31 His disciples asked him, “You see the crowd jostling you, and yet you ask, ‘Who touched me?’” Mar 5:32 But he kept looking around to see the woman who had done this. Mar 5:33 So the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came forward fearfully, fell down trembling in front of him, and told him the whole truth. Mar 5:34 He told her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed from your illness.” Notice the length of time and all of the knock back this woman had and yet she never lost hope. When breakthrough came it was not partial, it was complete, this was because she wasn’t not like most people around her, mechanically holding onto the law, she recognized the Law Giver and looked up to him! Joh 5:1 The Healing at the Pool Later on, there was another festival of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Joh 5:2 Near the Sheep Gate in Jerusalem is a pool called Bethesda in Hebrew. It has five colonnades, Joh 5:3 and under these a large number of sick people were lying—blind, lame, or paralyzed—waiting for the movement of the water. Joh 5:4 At certain times an angel of the Lord would go down into the pool and stir up the water, and whoever stepped in first after the stirring of the water was healed of whatever disease he had. Joh 5:5 One particular man was there who had been ill for 38 years. Joh 5:6 When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” Joh 5:7 The sick man answered him, “Sir, I don’t have anyone to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up. While I’m trying to get there, someone else steps down ahead of me.” Joh 5:8 Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!” Joh 5:9 The man immediately became well, and he picked up his mat and started walking. Now that day was a Sabbath. What you notice from this account is this man had lost hope, he had so many knock backs and disappointments that he had just resolved in his mind that this was going to be him for the rest of his life. He was also too busy comparing himself to others and saw himself of incapable of competing against them. However when he encountered Jesus, Jesus helped him to keep his focus on him and because he was concentrating of Jesus, he was not comparing himself or competing with the people around him, he was not looking for the magical bullet of the water being troubled by an angel, but he was looking at the King of the Kingdom and in his Kingdom there was healing. So 38 years of disappointment was turned around in a moment! This is the God that we serve! Keep on holding on because he has your back! When he needs to, he will carry you, other times he will walk next to you, but he will never leave you! Parallel Business Principles There are people out there who have lost hope in their health and in their finances and when we tell them about Reliv, we start giving them hope again. Many people have had so many knocks and bad experiences that they feel their situation will never change. This is why as people who are building our Reliv businesses, we have a responsibility learn this business and be the best we can be, so that we can help the most amount of people in the best way. What is the point of us not know what we are doing and not following the right processes and then bringing someone else into our ignorant environment. When the woman with the issue of blood and the man by the pool encountered Jesus, they encountered someone that knew exactly what he was doing and because of that they confidently trusted him. Knowledge gives you confidence and it also gives you posture and until you have that for yourself, you hold onto the people that have it. This is why it is so important to plug into the Reliv System. If you do not, then eventually you will quit! ************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv **************************************
