In this life we are going to face challenges and it is our ability to push through, which will determine whether or not we will be over comers or victims.
It is the pressures of life that grows us and prepares us for greater challenges. At the start of Moses’s life it began with a pressured situation, Pharaoh was killing all of the young male babies, so to save his life his mother placed him in a basket and put him in the Nile river. Now that is pressure, however God arranged it that Pharaoh’s daughter would find him and adopt him. God also arranged it that Pharaoh’s daughter need a nurse maid which ended up be Moses’s mother. You see faith allows God to work in our lives. Later on in Moses’s life he had to flee from Egypt and he lived in the wilderness for 40 years looking after sheep. This was pressure considering for the first 40 years of his life he was a prince of Egypt. However God was preparing him to lead his people out of Egypt. We do not always understand why we go through what we go through because the pressure is too great. This is why as believers we are called to walk by faith and not by sight (2Corintians 5:7) The enemy wants us to walk by sight, so he tries to use our current situations to try and get us depressed, distracted or confused. This is why it is so important for us as believers to know the word for ourselves, so that when we are squeezed, then the word will come out. Too many people just rely on what they hear on a Sunday at their church service and they never study the word for themselves, so they never have more than a surface understanding of what it means to be a Christian. The danger of this is, if the preacher or Pastor is off, then that person will follow them right into error as well. It takes an effort on the part of the individual to get into the routine of studying the word, many times when a person make the decision to study the word, this is when all of the distractions come. Understand that there is a spiritual attack on your life and the whole focus of that attack is to stop you from building a closer relationship with your creator. So you are going to have to push through the distractions, push through the excuses, push through the tiredness and once you do your part, then God will be his part: 2Co 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2Co 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, 2Co 10:5 pulling down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ; 2Co 10:6 and having readiness to avenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 2Co 10:7 Do you look at things according to appearance? If anyone has persuaded himself that he is Christ's, let him think this again as to himself, that as he is Christ's, even so we are Christ's. Effort always involves some kind of pressure and most people just want a comfortable life, so they do not get pressurised. This what Satan is counting on, because if he can get you in that mindset, he can render you powerless and an ineffective member of the body of Christ. Parallel Business Principals In order to grow any business, there is going to be pressure and people are going to have to step out of their comfort zones. Not everyone is designed to be a business builder because not everyone is willing to step out of comfort zones. Pressure means development, in our business people have to get used to prospects saying NO and push through the NO’s because if they do not, they will not build this business out of the fear of rejection. Pushing through is the difference between success and failure, I can guarantee everyone who has ever failure at building a Reliv business, it was because of their inability to push through. However for those who do, the rewards a great, which is a good parallel for life, in that for those who push through in their walk with Christ, the rewards at the end are great. Anything worth having is going to require time and effort and people who look for things that are easy rarely achieve anything at all. So are you ready to push through? *************************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Mentor Reliv ***************************************************
