Every single one of us on the call at the moment as TRUE Christians, the reason why our lives are the way they are is because at some point in our lives, we had a strong desire to change the way we were living, how we were thinking and the direction we were going.
Unless a person has a strong desire to change , they will not. God has sent his Holy Spirit to convict sin and draw people to Christ, this is why we need to be living Holy Spirit filled lives, so that through our lives people can come to the knowledge of Jesus. A person can put on the clothes and go to the buildings but if they do not have a strong desire to change, all they are doing is warming the bench and take up the space that a person who truly wants to change could be sitting in. Between Malachi in the Old Testament and Mathew in the New Testament, there was 400 years of silence and when I say silence, I mean there were no prophetic voices being heard. People were still trying to follow to law of Moses and people were even be killed for their belief as the Greco Roman empire started controlling the area. Many atrocities took place against God’s people in that 400 years. However it was not until John Baptist came on the scene that the prophetic word began to come to Israel again. Joh 1:15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, This was He of whom I spoke: He who comes after me has been before me, for He was preceding me. Joh 1:16 And out of His fullness we all have received, and grace for grace. Joh 1:17 For the Law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Joh 1:18 No one has seen God at any time; the Only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. There were many people that heard John’s message and did nothing, but there were many who heard John’s words and had such a strong desire to change that they made the decision instantly to change. John’s mandate was to be a forerunner that would prepare the hearts of the people for their breakthrough in Christ: Joh 1:23 He said, I am "the voice of one crying in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord," as the prophet Isaiah said. Joh 1:26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water, but One stands among you whom you do not know. Joh 1:27 He it is who, coming after me, who has been before me; of whom I am not worthy to loosen the thong of His sandal. Joh 1:29 The next day John sees Jesus coming to him and says, Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! The message of John was so powerful that people would travel to where he was just to hear what he had to say. Now to look at John he was not a sharp looking man, polished and elegant, but he was a man with a message and because of that, God made him attractive. As individuals, as we submit our lives to God, even though the way we live is going to be different from this world expectation of how a person lives, God is doing to make our lives attractive so that more people can get to know him and give him the glory. There are people out there knowing they need to change but are confused as to which direction to go in, that is why many people get caught up in false religion. This is why it is so important that we as the church, God’s called out ones, live our live right. Jesus made this very important statement concerns every single born again believer: Mat 11:11 Truly I say to you, Among those who have been born of women there has not risen a greater one than John the Baptist. But the least in the kingdom of Heaven is greater than he. Mat 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of Heaven is taken by violence, and the violent take it by force. This is a Jewish idiom and what it means is, from the moment John started preaching and the true knowledge of the kingdom was being heard, people starting to understand their situation and recognising they were outside of the kingdom. They then started accepting the message straight away and rushing in with a sense of urgency. So if that was happening with John and Jesus meant what he said, then our lives should be having a serious impact on people as they see the kingdom through us! Parallel Principals As business builders in Reliv we have a mandate and that is the tell people about the opportunity and the products. People are hurting and have lost hope in the health and finances and what we have can change their lives around. It may not be what they were expecting, but when they hear it, they understand the potential and get involved with a sense of urgency. Other people will not accept the message of Reliv, but that does not take away from the results people are getting. Something people have just been plodding along in life and there has been a period of silence, but then you come along with the message of Reliv and become the forerunner to bring them to their breakthrough. If you trust God in your business, God will make you attractive and bring the right people to you, people who will rush into the opportunity as they realise their current situation. You are looking for people with a burning desire to change their situations and once you find them you help them towards their breakthrough. You are in this business for a reason, so recognise that! ********************************************** Jason Gregory Business Coach & Menor Reliv **********************************************
